• Tomb of the Virgin Mary - This church is located at the traditional site of the Virgin Mary’s tomb. Carved into the rock, it features a cross-shaped design with a broad staircase descending into the church and tomb. The majority of the structure dates back to the Crusader period.
• Garden of Gethsemane - Situated at the base of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, this garden is where, according to the four Gospels of the New Testament, Jesus experienced agony and was arrested prior to his crucifixion.
• Church of Mary Magdalene - An Orthodox Christian church on the Mount of Olives, the Church of Mary Magdalene is renowned for its seven gilded onion domes, each crowned with a tall Russian Orthodox cross, making it one of Jerusalem’s most scenic landmarks.
• Lions’ Gate - Located near the northern wall of the Temple Mount, this gate opens directly into the Muslim Quarter and is the closest gate to the first station of the cross.
• St. Anne’s Church, Jerusalem - Situated near the Sheep Gate and Pools of Bethesda, the Church of St. Anne in Jerusalem features a grotto believed to be the birthplace of Mary.
• Holy Monastery of the Praetorium - This is the site where Jesus was tried by Pilate. Beneath the building, a series of caves are shown to pilgrims as a local detention area. The smallest cave is traditionally believed to be where Jesus was held.
• The Way of the Cross - Via Dolorosa - For Christians, the Via Dolorosa represents the path Jesus walked on his way to his crucifixion and resurrection.
• Church of the Holy Sepulchre - Located in the Christian Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is believed to house two significant Christian sites: the location of Jesus’s crucifixion, known as Calvary or Golgotha, and his empty tomb, where he was buried and resurrected, according to traditions dating back to the 4th century.
