This is a Family friendly tour!
- Sliding Jail - We will visit the famous sliding jail on this tour. In the 1930s, dynamite explosions from copper miners caused Jerome’s small jail to slide off its foundation 225 feet into the middle of one of the town’s main streets.
- Jerome Historical Society Mine Museum - The Museum and Gift Shop were opened in the early 1950s. With displays depicting the timeline of Jerome’s past to its present, items such as old miners equipment to remains of gambling in saloons can be seen within the Museum.

Loved this tour! - Courtney was our knowledgeable guide and made this tour awesome! It was very interesting to learn about Jerome and I would recommend this tour to anyone!
There is walking up and down the hills and some stairs but Courtney was patient for thr people who needed extra time to keep up.
Again it was awesome!

Surprising and engaging - Wonderful tour of Jerome. Our guide, Cloe, was knowledgeable and entertaining. I didn’t realize that Jerome would be steeply set, so I worried about the walking. But, they made it very easy, and shuttled us back up in a van. The group size was also just right.

Beautiful! - Very historical town, great views, small and nice town to wonder around. Only inconvenience is the parking. Overall everything is great!

Incredibly interesting and informative - This was a really interesting tour! We learned so much about the history of Jerome. It would definitely not be the same experience to just walk through town. Several people who were not on our tour stopped to listen to our guide tell us about the fascinating history of this town. This was the highlight of my 5 day trip in Arizona.

Fantastic tour with Austin - We loved our tour with Austin. Austin shared some fantastic stories about Jerome! We were really glad to have done the tour as it's hard to really experience this town as a tourist without understanding the unique and dark history of the town. Thanks again Austin.

Nice quick informational and fun (and a little heavy) - Tour guide was awesome - tour is short in distance but lots of good stories although admittedly a lot of bummers in the town history.

Real stories of real people! - We spent two days in Jerome and scheduled a Walking History Tour while there. We were so fortunate to have Courtney give us an amazing tour! Way more than important historic people and dates, we received stories from all walks of life. Tales of love lost, power, money, revenge, religion, political intrigue, despair, death, hope and the struggles of persons in all walks of life. A great weaving of stories, exceptionally well done! Thanks Courtney, best part of our visit!

Can’t Believe Jerome is Still Standing! - Our tour guy was positive and informative. It was a great idea to start the tour with historical pictures and then refer back to them throughout the tour. We did expect it to be more walking. It was a lot of standing in one place. The history itself was amazing.

Great tour! - Austin was our tour guide and he did an incredible job taking us through the history of Jerome. We learned so much about the town. It was one of the best tours we have been on. If you are visiting Jerome I highly recommend taking the tour and requesting Austin as your guide!
