Hamdeok Beach - (Departing from Jeju Cruise Terminal)
Strolling along Jeju Olle Course 19 leads to the stunning Hamdeok Beach, renowned for its emerald waters. Situated in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, it is also known as ‘Hamdeok Seoubong Beach’ due to the nearby Seoubong Peak. Just 20km from Jeju Airport, visitors feel transported to another world upon arrival. The entrance is lined with tall palm trees, and the emerald sea contrasts beautifully with the white sand. The clear water and gentle waves make the sand and seaweed appear almost transparent. Among Jeju Island’s many beaches, Hamdeok Beach, along with Hyeopjae Beach and Gimnyeong Beach, is celebrated for its stunning sea color. The shallow, clear waters make it an ideal summer destination for families. An overpass on the west side of the beach allows for a unique experience of walking over the sea. -

They cared for the elderly and infirm, such as Halmang Badang and Geseok, and used their earnings to support society, including villages and schools. They also devised various methods to coexist with the sea, such as beach sweeping, gold snatching, and dialysis. The cultural significance of Jeju haenyeo was recognized when it was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016. -
