Jeju Stone Park - Jeju Stone Culture Park is a historical and cultural space that showcases the stone culture, Seolmundae Halmang myth, and folk traditions that form the foundation of Jeju’s creation and human culture. The legend of Seolmundae Halmang, the goddess who created Jeju Island, and the five generals is depicted through various stone cultural relics and materials on the expansive 300,000 pyeong Gotjawal land. It was designed as a place where both Jeju residents and tourists can directly experience and observe the lifestyle of Jeju inhabitants through its exhibition space. By embracing Jeju’s identity, locality, and artistry, the formation process of Tamna, along with its mythology, history, and folk culture, is unveiled. The aim is to create the most beautiful educational space, organized by era, to pass on to future generations. This is a commitment that the planner of Stone Culture Park has consistently upheld.

Sangumburi Crater - Sangumburi Crater stands out from the 360 or more parasitic cones of Jeju as it was not formed by the accumulation of erupted materials. Instead, it is a maar-type parasitic cone, created as a crater with a hole when numerous materials were expelled. The inner area measures 300,000㎡, with an interior bottom circumference of 756m and an exterior circumference of 2,070m. Nearly vertical, the crater is approximately 130m tall, making it slightly larger and deeper than Hallasan Mountain. In autumn, the ridges of Sangumburi Crater turn golden with waves of silvergrass, while planted cedar dominates most of the eastern and western slopes, with Sawtooth oak in the surrounding area. Additionally, Korean Fir has been planted to form a forest path. Apart from these lush forests, colonies of Eulalia grass cover large sections of the crater.

Seongsan Ilchulbong - Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, a landmark attraction of Jeju, was formed about 5,000 years ago from a volcanic eruption on the ocean floor. It is especially renowned as a sunrise viewing spot, considered one of the top ten exquisite sceneries of Jeju Island. Besides watching the sunrise, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is also an excellent trekking destination. The Seongsan-Ojo Trail connects two villages by crossing the peak. Another popular trail, the Jijil Trail, offers a closer look at the UNESCO-designated geopark and Jeju’s local culture. Walking along these paths is recommended to truly experience the area; reaching the summit provides views of both the vast volcanic crater in the center and the surrounding blue ocean. To complete the visit, head to Seongsanpo Port to observe haenyeo (female divers) at work.

Gwangchigi Beach - Gwangchigi Beach offers one of the most pristine and breathtaking views along Jeju’s coastline. In the distance is Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and a gem of Jeju Island. The area features many trendy cafes and restaurants, as well as travel accommodations and family-friendly activities like the Aquaplanet Aquarium. It is also where Olle walking trails 1 and 2 connect.

Hamdeok Beach - Walking along Jeju Olle Course 19 leads to Hamdeok Beach, known for its emerald waters. Located in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, it is also called ‘Hamdeok Seoubong Beach’ due to Oreum (Seoubong Peak) standing adjacent to the beach. It is only 20km from Jeju Airport, yet upon arrival, it feels like entering another country. The tall palm trees at the entrance, the emerald sea contrasting with the white sand, and the clear water with transparent sand and seaweed create a stunning scene. Among the numerous beaches on Jeju Island, if three places with the most beautiful sea color are chosen, it would definitely include Hyeopjae Beach, Gimnyeong Beach, and Hamdeok Beach. The water is clear and shallow, making it an ideal summer resort for families. The west side of the beach is connected by an overpass, allowing visitors to experience walking on the sea.

Haenyeo Museum - Jeju haenyeo are the resilient mothers of Jeju and the spiritual pillars of its residents. The life of the Jeju haenyeo community serves as a model for humanity. Jeju haenyeo formed a merit-based community and made democratic decisions through discussions. They cared for the elderly and infirm, such as Halmang Badang and Geseok, and used their material profits to contribute to society, including villages and schools. They also devised various methods to coexist with the sea, such as beach sweeping, gold snatching, and dialysis. Jeju haenyeo culture was recognized for its value and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016 (local time).

Seopjikoji - A short drive from Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak leads to Cape Seopjikoji. The name comes from the Jeju dialect for a “Cape of Small Land” due to its unique cliff formation that juts into the ocean. The picturesque harmony of the hill and ocean attracts tourists year-round. Visitors might even spot Jeju ponies grazing on the grassy fields. Walking northeast along the cliff, one arrives at Bulgeunoreum Parasitic Cone, offering a stunning view of a white lighthouse against the dark blue sea. Additional notable attractions at Cape Seopjikoji include the Glasshouse and Yumin Art Gallery, two masterpieces designed by world-renowned architect Ando Tadao. These buildings blend remarkably well with the surrounding nature.
