Traveling through the Athabasca Valley, your guide will show you some of the park’s most beautiful scenery, so have your camera ready to capture some amazing photos!
Your guide is trained to seek out the park’s most fascinating wildlife, and is well-versed in the history, geology and ecology of the area and is happy to answer any questions you may have. The selected route is at the discretion of your guide, so you’ll have the best chances to spot elk, deer, big horned sheep, mountain goats, foxes, coyotes, wolves, and moose and more. Snap photos from your van or on the ground at a safe distance from the animals.
Jasper National Park is not a zoo but a wild, protected area. The types of animals seen on the tour depends on the season, the time of day, and the weather. You’ll learn all about the ways the animals contribute to the rich diversity of the park.
You’ll be returned to your hotel after your tour.

Sun Dog Tours were brilliant. Definitely recommend - The tour was amazing. Geoff was our guide and he was very engaging and funny. Graig was very informative and gave us plenty of opportunity to to take photos and make sure we had adequate time to see the animals. He went above and beyond for us. We saw a Grizzly bear, a moose, black bears, elks, loads of deers, long horn sheep, mountain goats, bald eagles, osprey a hoary Marmot and a beavers dam

Amazing wildlife tour - Absolutely fantastic prompt and certainly delivered 🤩 Grizzly, Black bears, moose, elk, deers 2 x types😊 eagles, osprey sheep and hoary marmot the driver Geoff was very informative definately enhanced to the experience Would 100% recommend

Brilliant evening wildlife spotting tour. - Jeff the driver was very informative, good fun and really included everyone in the tour.
We saw so many animals we were spoilt, starting with a grizzly bear, followed by a moose, black bears, elk, osprey, bald eagle and others. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Brilliant tour and a black bear - We had a great evening wildlife tour on 10th May - sorry I can’t remember our guides name (might have been Kevin) but he was absolutely brilliant.
We learnt so much about the wildlife in the area and he answered all the questions we asked, his knowledge is immense and he was very passionate about the wildlife which was great.
We were lucky to see Elk, big horned sheep, deer, a mountain goat, hoary marmot, osprey, bald eagles and a black bear only thing we didn’t see was a moose but our tour guide tried hard to find one.
Only criticism I have is the windows including windscreen were dirty but luckily it didn’t affect the photos I took.
Our tour guide also told us about the northern lights being visible on that night and gave great advice on where best to see them without the artificial lights in Jasper (town)

The best local knowledge - The guides go above and beyond to track down the wildlife and give the passengers the best experience possible. Also took us to locations with great views for photography opportunities. Highly recommend!

Wildlife tour - Booked this late, great organisation and accommodating to change of pick up.
Guide Alec was funny and informative...real credit to the company. Bus was super comfortable and saw lots of wildlife including a brown bear!

Great Trip - It was a wonderful trip to wild life and the guide was awesome, very funny and jolly and made the ride interesting. We spotted the bear on rocks, elks, and rear find beaver. Weather was very windy and wet but we enjoyed every single moment. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this tour.

Where were the animals?! - Ben was a great guide, very knowledgable and did a good job explaining the area. Struck out on wildlife other than sheep and elk but still a good time

Not much wildlife and wrong type of vehicle - Guide was good and provided interesting information, but didn't see much wildlife (just luck i guess) and the coach we were on wasn't really appropriate for this type of trip. A smaller vehicle would have been better. Also, the interior lights on the coach were left on so as it was getting dark outside there were just reflections off the windows. Should have at least dimmed the interior lights.

Disinterested guide, who in our opinion made little effort to find more animals than just the elk just outside the village - Racing through the park at high speed would have been a better term than discovering Jasper and his wildlife
