- Nishigahara - If you have a passion for Roll sushi and tempura and wish to prepare them in your own country, join this cooking class! You will discover easy methods and techniques to create popular home-cooked roll sushi and tempura. In this class, participants will make two types of roll sushi: Seafood roll and California roll. Sushi rolls are crafted with tuna, salmon, egg rolls, vegetables, and more, using a sushi mat. Tempura features large prawns and various seasonal vegetables, with lotus roots and sweet potatoes being particularly favored. After enjoying lunch, coffee jelly will be served as dessert. This delightful dessert is a Japanese specialty, perfect for those who aren’t fond of coffee.
The instructor is a licensed chef who will guide you through the process in a simple, clear, and detailed manner, even if you are not an experienced cook or have never attended a cooking class before. The class is conducted in English in the chef’s kitchen and lasts for 3 hours. Participants will cook together in a relaxed atmosphere within a small group while immersing themselves in Japanese culture. English language recipes will be provided at the end of the class.

- Seafood roll - We use tuna, egg roll, crab stick, cucumber, radish sprout, shiso, vinegared rice, Nori(seaweed) and wrap them with sushi mat.
- California roll - We use salmon, avocado, crab stick, cucumber, sesame, mayonnaise, nori(seaweed) vinegared rice and wrap with sushi mat.( I teach way of the back roll)

- Tempura - We will use prawns,lotus roots, sweet potatoes,broccoli,pumpkin, etc…mainly seasonal vegetables.
- Spinach with sesame powder dressing - We will boil spinach and mix well with popular sesame dressing.
- Miso soup - We will make soup stock from scratch. Please enjoy authentic dashi soup stock. Ingredients are tofu, fried tofu and long leek and miso.
- Coffee jelly - I serve handmade coffee jelly of the dessert.Serve the jelly with fresh cream.

Hello! Ryoko, a cooking instructor, welcomes you to this class where you can experience authentic Japanese soul food in a genuine Japanese home, while immersing yourself in the local culture in a relaxed setting. This private cooking class is intimate, accommodating small groups of 2-8 people, conducted in English, and lasts for 3 hours. Participants will learn cooking techniques and simple recipes in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere, enjoying the opportunity to socialize. The class includes making dashi soup stock from scratch for miso soup and preparing two types of roll sushi. Children are welcome to join in the fun. Your roll sushi will surely be a hit at home parties. The tempura recipe is easy to follow, and the instructor will share her secret to making delicious tempura batter. This class is also recommended for vegetarians. After a delightful lunch, enjoy handmade coffee jelly, a special coffee dessert unique to Japan, even recommended for those who aren’t coffee fans. As a qualified chef, the instructor will provide you with her specially devised recipes to try at home.
