• Runaway Bay - This tour guides you through one of the island’s most beloved towns. Runaway Bay is naturally stunning and is undoubtedly one of Jamaica’s most picturesque locations. It is nestled between the pristine coastline on one side and the lush green mountains on the other. There is much discussion about how Runaway Bay got its name. Some believe it was named after the last group of Spanish soldiers who fled from the advancing British troops led by Governor Ysassi following the 1655 British invasion of Jamaica. Others argue it was the escape route for slaves from inland plantations to Cuba. Be sure to have your cameras ready as you explore this area.
• Dunn’s River Falls and Park - Your tour guide will lead you to the breathtaking, world-renowned Dunn’s River Falls & Park. By now, you should be in your swimsuits, so all you need to do is check in, meet your resident guide, go through the briefing, sign the waiver form, and dive into the fun. Professional photographers are available at Dunn’s River to accompany you on the trip – you can purchase your photos at the end if you wish, but feel free to bring your waterproof cameras, and your Falls Guide will help you take pictures. The walk to the starting point is about 2 minutes down to the beach, where you will begin the 600ft. (183 meters) climb. Your total time at Dunn’s River Falls will be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. If you cannot complete the climb, don’t worry - there are exit points along the way. Feel free to ask your tour guide to point out the areas of the falls featured in the James Bond movie (Doctor No). Please head directly to the bus once the climb is complete.
• Ocho Rios - Known as the heartbeat of the garden parish of St. Ann, the resort area of Ocho Rios is a paradise for nature lovers. Once thought to be watered by eight rivers (as its name suggests), Ocho Rios offers a lush landscape of caves, gardens, rivers, and white sand beaches. The name Ocho Rios actually comes from “Las Choreras,” meaning “waterfalls,” reflecting the many waterfalls in the area. From the Fern Gully, located in the remains of an old riverbed, to the tiered waterfalls of Dunn’s River, Blue Hole, and the Secret Falls, some of Jamaica’s most popular attractions, Ocho Rios draws thousands of visitors back to what is arguably the island’s most romantic, picturesque resort area.

Ocho Rios is a small “Colonial Styled Town” with a population of approximately 25,000. Known as “The Centerpiece of Jamaica,” Ocho Rios offers a range of activities from golf to watersports to equestrian and soft adventure activities. The area is roughly equidistant between the island’s two cities – Kingston and Montego Bay, providing excellent access from both international airports. The birthplace of Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey, Ocho Rios offers a variety of cultural experiences – Marley’s mausoleum at Nine Miles, Reggae Xplosion, and Seville Heritage Park all help to chronicle Jamaica’s history in story and song.

There will be a short stop in the town center (approximately 1 hour) for shopping.

• Main Street - Shopping in Ocho Rios on this day trip will be at the Ocho Rios Craft Market or a similar location. A wide variety of items are available in this area, including rums, coffee, T-shirts, hats, jewelry, wood carvings, arts, and more. It’s advisable to carry small bills with you on tours, as not every place accepts credit cards, and vendors might not have change in USD, resulting in receiving a lot of Jamaican dollars as change.
• Scotchies Drax Hall - Scotchies Outdoor Garden Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best spots for jerk chicken and pork. It’s recommended to conclude your day’s activities with a stop for the ultimate jerk experience at Scotchies. The food is prepared with the whole family in mind, so even children can enjoy the tender, juicy pork and succulent chicken with festival. Steamed vegetables are also available for non-meat eaters. Don’t forget to try the homemade Scotchies specialty hot sauce made from locally sun-ripened Scotch Bonnet Pepper.
