Select Hotel - Palmas, the capital of Tocantins, serves as the gateway to Jalapão by air. On the day before or the morning of the expedition’s departure, at the scheduled time, the operator will meet guests at Palmas airport and provide a transfer to the Select Hotel, marking the start of the services. It is recommended to spend the day exploring the city.

Journey from Palmas to Lagoa do Japonês

Lagoa do Japonês - Post-lunch, the itinerary includes a visit to Lagoa do Japonês, a lagoon renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning emerald and blue tourmaline hues. The return to Ponte Alta is scheduled for late afternoon, where guests will dine at 8 pm.

Journey from Portal do Jalapão to Coração do Jalapão

Canyon Sussuapara - After breakfast at 8 am, the journey from Ponte Alta to Coração do Jalapão begins, covering 190 km of dirt roads. En route, a visit to the Sussuapara Canyon, a sanctuary where it perpetually seems to rain, is planned.

Praias do Rio Novo - Around noon, the group will arrive at the Rio Novo Quilombola Community. Here, guests will experience Paçoca de Carne Seca. After a brief rest, a charming little beach with potable water will be explored.

Dunas do Jalapão - The day concludes at the breathtaking Dunas do Jalapão, where, conditions permitting, a stunning sunset can be witnessed. The group will then proceed to the inn in Mateiros, with dinner scheduled for 8 pm.

Waterfall and Boilers + Coffee with Rapadura Experience

Serra do Espírito Santo - For outdoor enthusiasts, the day begins at 4 am. An early start promises a spectacular dawn as the group travels to Serra do Espírito Santo. With clear skies, the most magnificent starry sky in Brazil can be observed. The ascent is brief, approximately 750m, but challenging, rated medium to difficult. If successful, a breathtaking sunrise atop the Serra awaits. Breakfast at the inn is scheduled for around 8:00 am.

Formiga Waterfall - Unexpectedly, guests will find themselves relaxing in the waters of Jalapão’s most beautiful waterfall, Cachoeira do Formiga, making the journey truly worthwhile.
