Amazing experience - once in a lifetime! - Had an amazing time on the overnight camel safari and sleeping under the stars. They are well known within Jaisalmer and respected in the community which was very assuring. We were able to reschedule our Safari due to weather which was good. Easy communication via WhatsApp. We went out via Jeep to Kaldhara village which was very interesting. Then met up with the camels (run by a local camel man) who were healthy and well looked after. The camel ride was 1.5 hours (so prepare your thighs with some pre stretches) and was a beautiful way to go through the desert to the camp. When we arrived at the camp there was chai and pakora ready for us and we got to relax as dinner was prepared. The bedding was surprisingly comfortable (although still basic) and it was absolutely stunning to sleep under the stars. We woke up naturally with the sun and they prepared a wholesome breakfast before we set out for another camel ride back to the jeep. We didn't see any other tourists, only some local herders and it felt very non-touristy which was good. Note that due to climate change the desert is less dunes and more sparse vegetation - but we did camp on the dunes. Also, there are no toilet facilities (obviously) so bring toilet paper/plastic bags. Overall it was a once in a lifetime experience that was fantastic and was a highlight of our India trip!

Desert safari - Great trip into the desert with Jitu and Abbe. Fun journey out on camelback to a secluded area in the Thar desert where they cooked a brilliant meal for us over a fire pit. Really enjoyed our experience and would recommend!

Memorable desert night and Jaisalmer exploration - We contacted Sawai because we wanted to spend a night in the desert, in a few minutes he sent us a proposal including transportation from Jodphur to Jaisalmer and guided tour of both cities. We wanted to sleep in the dunes and as much as possible meet the local people. Sawai understood exactly what we were looking for and adjusted the proposal to our liking. The night in the desert was an unforgettable experience, we entered the desert by camel being able to enjoy the fauna of the place (antelopes, eagles, and wild camels!), we cooked dinner in the dunes in an improvised fire while talking with the team of The Real Desert Man, lovely people who love their land and live in the desert with their families, we learned about their way of life and how it has changed in these years. We slept in the open under the stars and after breakfast camel back to camp. It was amazing. If you are looking for an authentic and a bit wild experience (there are scorpions in the desert, and yes, we saw them) then I recommend 100% this experience. Sawai I also organize the hotels in Jaisalmer and Jodphur, excellent management on their part and also giving us to choose various hotel categories. After the night in the desert we enjoyed a night in a fantastic hotel with rooftop and pool!! We appreciate it a lot after sleeping in the desert. Thar Desert, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur - During our trip to Rajasthan we decided to live the experience of a night in the desert and relied on Sawai. From the outset he was available, offering us a very quick itinerary that included transfers from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer and guided tours in both cities. Our desire was to sleep in the dunes and get to know, at least a little bit, the life of the locals: Sawai jumped at our needs and created a program tailored to us. That night in the desert will forever remain in our memories. On camelback we ventured into the dunes, admiring antelopes, eagles and even wild camels. At sunset we cooked dinner on the sand, around a small fire, in the company of the team of The Real Desert Man: authentic and hospitable people, very attached to their land, who told us stories and traditions of life in the desert, also explaining how it has changed over time. We slept under a spectacular starry sky and, after breakfast, we returned to the camp always on camelback. It was an authentic and somewhat wild experience (yes, there are scorpions and we have met some!), which we recommend without hesitation to anyone who wants to experience the desert in a genuine way. Apart from this, Sawai has also arranged our overnight stays in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, offering us more hotel categories to choose from. After the night in the desert we treated ourselves to the pleasure of a beautiful hotel with swimming pool and panoramic terrace: the perfect way to end this adventure. The Real Desert Man team is competent, passionate and attentive to every detail. Thank you very much for letting us discover an authentic corner of Rajasthan!

Camels are real homies - The Camels were homies. The 3 guides were cooks, guides and buddies. We were 5 people: the guests: me, my brother and the guides: Abhay, jeetu, jalam on a dune in the desert. They cooked very good food. The guides got our backs. And the camels had comfortable backs. Best night.

Excellent and unique experience - Very memorable experience. The camel riding and camping was particularly special, especially given that we were camping under the stars! The views were phenomenal. The camel guide (Abe) was excellent and also very engaging.

Incredible experience riding camels and stargazing - Amazing experience. Camel ride was super fun. Stargazing at night was incredible. Was very well taken care of by the guides - they were excellent. Enjoyable experience all round.

An experience out of time - A great adventure! I recommend living this experience with this great team, perfect welcome, very good atmosphere, the camp is basic, around a small fire to cook and night under the stars.
