- Amber Palace - Amer Fort is renowned for its artistic style elements and is considered one of the best-preserved fort palaces in India. Perched on a high hill, it overlooks Maota Lake, creating a stunningly beautiful view. The four-level fort, constructed from red sandstone and marble, features a courtyard on each level, including the Diwan-e-Aam or “Hall of Public Audience,” the Diwan-e-Khas or “Hall of Private Audience,” the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas. Amer Fort is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The fort’s design uniquely blends Persian and Hindu architectural influences.
- Jagat Shiromani Ji Temple - Located in Amer, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, this magnificent temple is dedicated to Meera Bai and Lord Krishna. Meera Bai, a devotee of Lord Krishna, was the wife of a Mewar king but considered Krishna her true husband from childhood. Hence, the temple is also known as the Meera Bai Temple. At the entrance, a beautiful marble Toran (pylon) is flanked by elephant statues, showcasing marvelous architecture. An interesting story surrounds this temple: the statue of Lord Krishna here is said to be the same one Meera Bai worshipped in Mewar 600 years ago. It was saved from destruction during the Mughal war with Mewar and brought safely to Amer.
- Amer - This stop offers a chance to capture photos of medieval ruins. Amer is a city famous in Indian history for its medieval architecture and buildings. Today, the remnants of this once vibrant city provide a fantastic opportunity for photography.
- Nahargarh Fort - Originally named Sudarshangarh, Nahargarh Fort is a must-visit. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the king of Jaipur, in 1734, the fort has been featured in films like Rang De Basanti, Shuddh Desi Romance, and Sonar Kella. The view of Jaipur city from Nahargarh is breathtaking. The fort includes two stepwells, offering excellent photography locations, and houses various art installations by renowned artists, providing ample subjects for photography.
- Jal Mahal - The Jal Mahal, or Water Palace, showcases exquisite Rajput architecture and is situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amer renovated and expanded the lake and palace in the 18th century. It offers a picturesque view from the Man Sagar Dam and the Nahargarh hills. The five-story structure, built in red sandstone, is a must-visit in Jaipur for its stunning views.
- Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Known as the “Palace of Winds” or “Palace of the Breeze,” this structure is located in the heart of Jaipur city. Inspired by the unique design of Khetri Mahal, Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built this beautiful structure in 1799 to allow royal women to observe street activities without being seen. The five-story, semi-octagonal monument features 152 windows with overhanging latticed balconies, exemplifying Rajput architecture. Visitors can enjoy a cafe with a great view of the entire Hawa Mahal, providing a perfect spot for photos in front of this iconic building.
- Maharaniyon Ki Chhatariyan - Maharani ki Chhatri serves as a funeral area for the royal ladies or Maharanis of Jaipur. It is renowned for its magnificent cenotaphs, built in memory of various royal women. These grand cenotaphs symbolize the status and importance of women in the royal family. Each chhatri is artistically carved, reflecting the taste of the woman it commemorates. Some are made of marble, while others use local stone. Some cenotaphs remain unfinished; if a queen died before her king, her cenotaph would be completed with a roof structure, but if not, it would remain unfinished.
- Patrika Gate - Patrika Gate is the ninth gate of Jaipur, with the city’s planners paying great attention to the number nine in its architecture. The number nine holds significant cultural and traditional importance, such as the Nine Gates, Nine Planets, and Navratra (Nine Nights). It is considered an auspicious number. The gate’s vibrant colors are strikingly bright. Visitors can capture surreal symmetrical photos inside the gate, which from the outside resembles a massive fortress.
