Situated 40 km from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is a renowned tourist destination in the Agra district. This city, primarily constructed of red sandstone, was established in the 16th century by Mughal Emperor Akbar. It served as the capital of his empire for fifteen years and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, featuring Jodha Bai’s Palace, Jama Mosque, Buland Darwaza, and the Tomb of Salim Chisti, among other notable monuments.
• Taj Mahal - The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum located on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (who reigned from 1628 to 1658) to house the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, it is an architectural marvel and a Wonder of the World. Visitors should spend 2 hours to fully appreciate the Taj Mahal.
• Agra Fort - An architectural gem, the Red Fort of Agra, or Agra Fort, was constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1573. Positioned on the right bank of the Yamuna River, it is entirely made of red sandstone. This historic fort was the Mughal residence until 1638 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located 2.5 kilometers from the Taj Mahal.

Some parts of Agra Fort are used by the Indian Army and are not accessible to the public. The views of the Yamuna River and the Taj Mahal from the fort’s pavilions are breathtaking.

• Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah - The Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Often referred to as a “jewel box” and sometimes called the “Bachcha Taj” or “Baby Taj,” it is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal.
