Grateful for our time with Lucky - A few days ago we visited Elefantastic in Jaipur, and it remains one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. Before coming to India, we quietly wondered about how animals might be treated. Those concerns disappeared the moment we arrived. The care, respect, and genuine affection the team shows these elephants is obvious and reassuring. On the way, we passed a group preparing another elephant for burial — a solemn reminder of the deep bond between people and these animals. It made our time there feel even more significant. We spent the afternoon with Lucky, an elephant who was gentle, calm, and completely captivating. Feeding her, decorating her with natural colors, and helping bathe her felt peaceful, respectful, and personal. Her comfort clearly comes first here. The warmth of the experience went beyond the elephants. The owner’s mother prepared a homemade lunch for us — simple, delicious, and offered with real kindness. It felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. Our driver was excellent as well — punctual, kind, and made the whole day smooth and easy. One practical note for future visitors: on these tours, guides may offer to take you to artisan shops featuring local crafts such as rugs, jewelry, and textiles. You are never obligated to go, but the hosts will often give a very enthusiastic presentation about the craftsmanship and quality. I ended up buying something at each stop. Prices may be higher than in some markets, but bargaining is welcome, and everything we purchased has been excellent quality. We left feeling grateful — for Lucky, for the people, and for an experience that felt genuine and heartfelt. Highly recommended.

Best activity we did on our India Trip - Our time with elefantastic from start to finish was amazing! Driver picked us up on time from our hotel. We arrived and we're introduced to Padma our elephant who we were going to spend time with. She absolutely, a beautiful gentle giant. It was breathtaking to be so close to her. My husband and I fed her, cuddled and stroked her. We saw right down into her mouth when she was eating!!! We then washed her and scrubbed her and gave her water to drink. We then took her for a little walk and then had more final cuddles. All this time the staff gave us lots of drinks and told us lots of elephant facts. Any instructions to Padma were spoken by its keeper, no sticks or leads were needed. The driver then took us to the owners parents house where we were fed and watered, a humbling amazing experience too. We were then driven back to our hotel. Wonderful afternoon to treasure.

Wonderful morning experience! - We absolutely loved our time here with Padma, our elephant for the experience. The team takes great pride in their work and they spoil the elephants. There’s no riding, no bull hooks or cane hitting — just treats, gentle touch, a walk, and a spa session for the elephant where you shower them and brush their skin. Looking into the eyes of the gentle giants is an amazing experience. The lunch was vegetarian Indian (very good) and they offered us a selection of cold beverages multiple times. This facility is near the elephant village, which still uses their elephants for rides and weddings, and does not let them just be elephants like they do at Elefantastic!

Wonderful ethical elephant experience! - We were looking forward to spending time with these majestic animals and we weren't disappointed. We fed, scrubbed and walked with one of the elephants, (there were four others that had been brought from their farm to have the interaction with other visitors, they have 26 in total, so rotate them). We chose not to paint our elephant, the rest of the experience was very fulfilling and you can tell the elephants are well taken care of. We were not rushed at all and the meal was very tasty but do know that the home where the food is served is about 15 minutes away so when we asked to eat first instead of after the interaction, we back tracked a fair bit.

Exclusive once-in-a-lifetime experience — truly magical! - Second visit to Elefantastic in Jaipur — and again an absolutely amazing experience! Truly next level, very exclusive, and overall just wow. The staff were incredibly friendly, the warm welcome and the pick-up from the office at the main road were perfectly organized, and everything felt very special from the start. The elephant was very calm, and you can be very close — just you and your family — which makes it feel like a truly exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experience. The walk with the elephant was also somehow magical and very special. We also recommended it to a friend who visited the same day and loved it as well. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do the dinner offered this time, as it would have been too late for us to visit Panna Meena ka Kund on our last evening in Jaipur. Highly recommended!

Great! - It was great experience to be with Elephant named Padma and her caretakers. We got to feed her, per her, bath her, walk her and spend an amazing time with her and learn about elephants at and elephant lifestyle. The home made lunch provided was so nutritious and fresh and served with love. It was an incredible experience!

A place where animals are truly loved - From the very beginning, you can feel that this place is driven by genuine love and deep respect for animals. The owners take care of their 24 elephants with incredible dedication—and it truly shows. We were able to feed the elephants, touch them, walk with them, and even help wash them. Nothing felt staged or forced for tourism; everything was calm, respectful, and clearly focused on the well-being of the animals. We also learned a lot about elephants and the inspiring history of this family-run organization. Afterward, we were warmly invited to the family’s home to share a meal prepared by their mother. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was open, welcoming, and full of heart. What makes this place even more special is that they also rescue injured cows from the streets, care for them until they recover, and then release them again. We are more than impressed and recommend this place 100%. There are absolutely no ethical concerns here—this is a truly beautiful place where animals are genuinely loved. 🐘💛

Pure joy - A very special part of our trip to India. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the Elephant sanctuary. We were introduced to Sampah, a 48 year old female who had been rescued from the circus. We fed her, stroked her, walked with her and bathed her. Beautiful and gentle animal. Afterwards we were taken to the owners house where the wife cooked us a delicious homemade vegetarian lunch. Highly recommend.

Chill and wonderful elephant experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Elefantastic. We were lucky to be the only ones in our time slot, and the vibe was very quiet and relaxed. We were given clear answers to all our questions as we interacted with Padma, the elephant for our time slot. We petted and fed her several types of food, and painted her with non irritating pigment, then washed her clean. She seemed very chill and happy. Her handlers obviously care a lot about her; we learned that the caretakers are an extended multi-generation family of elephant handlers! I was nervous about whether the animals were exploited, as this is a private owned rescue and not an NGO sanctuary, but by the end I felt more confident that the animals are all treated with respect and love. Oh, and afterwards we were treated to a delicious and healthy Indian veg meal at the home of the company owner, made by his mom! Overall would recommend.
