• Amber Palace - A visit to Jaipur is incomplete without exploring the renowned Amber Fort, a top tourist destination. Guests will be picked up from their hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and transported to the Fort.

Upon arrival, a 4WD jeep will take visitors up the steep path to the main entrance. Constructed in 1592 by Raja Man Singh using red sandstone and marble, the Fort overlooks the scenic Maota Lake. While the exterior walls are simple and defensive, the interior rooms are unexpectedly beautiful. The Amber Fort, known as Amer Fort in Hindi, features numerous pavilions and historically significant halls. The Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) boasts a double row of columns, each adorned with an elephant-shaped capital, and has latticed galleries above. The Maharaja’s private quarters are situated around the third courtyard.

• Ganesh Pol Gateway - Entry is through the stunning Ganesh Pol (gate), adorned with exquisite frescoed arches. The Jai Mandir (Hall of Victory) is renowned for its inlaid panels and a ceiling covered in mirrors. The intricately carved marble relief panels around the hall are charmingly delicate, depicting cartoon-like insects and flowing flowers. Opposite the Jai Mandir is the Sukh Niwas (Hall of Pleasure), featuring an ivory-inlaid sandalwood door and a channel that once carried cooling water through the room. From the Jai Mandir, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views from the palace ramparts over the picturesque Maota Lake below. Other notable structures include the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and the ‘Sukh Mahal’. The Amber Fort showcases a blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles.

After the tour concludes, guests will be driven back to their hotel.

Jaipur is one of the most romantic cities in India.  A must see attraction is the 16th century Amber Fort, a sprawling complex that combines immense fortifications with unexpected architectural and artistic beauty.  It is situated on a natural ridge 6.6 miles north of the city. A jeep will drive you up the steep incline to the front gate.
