Perfect experience for beginners - Perfect experience for beginner surfers! The instructors teach you everything you need to know from safety tips to how to get up properly. The waves are the perfect size, so you do not need to worry. Highly recommend if you’re on the fence about booking.

Great Surf - My kids and I had a blast learning to surf. Both of them were able to get some basic skills and actually surf all on thier own. Even I got up on the board and had a blast.

Great for beginners! - Loved this tour. My three children had no surfing experience and were able to get up and ride the waves the first time. Great location, and great instructors!

10/10 recommend - I spent a total of three weeks at Surfers Factory, one with MJ and two with Miguel. All the instructors are incredibly friendly and motivating. I couldn't have imagined a better school. After three weeks, I have made huge progress and am proud to be an immediate student. I can also highly recommend Nadine's photos and videos. They are a really great memory of the wonderful time. I would choose this school again at any time. Thank you guys 🫶

Life is like surfing, you must know which wave to take. - The classes with Pau and the photographs that Nadine took made this an unforgettable memory. We really liked their treatment, punctuality, and in general the whole experience and we will repeat it. Perhaps the only thing that is needed is a little more methodology and structure so that the student knows at what level they arrive and at what level they leave and at what level they can reach. We could also use some snacks after class

Great time. - Wonderful instructors! From ages 12 to 42, we all had a great time. They helped us with the basics, and we all got up! We felt safe and learned a lot.

Great for everyone - Me and my wife signed up for a lesson. I had surfed before but not much and my wife a newbie. John was our guide and I felt he did a great job. I asked for him to stay with my wife and I’ll do my own thing while taking direction. John did a great job of ensuring she had a great time while giving me pointers as I needed them. My wife was also highly afraid of being in the ocean but she felt safe in this area of the beach and with the other people out on the water. Now she is a convert and found surfing to be one of the highlights of our honeymoon. They also had a professional photographer taking pictures and using a drone to get great footage which allowed us to capture the great experience. We will do it again if we are in CR again.

Inspired to continue surfing lessons - What a perfect setting for surfing !!! Communication prior to arrival was great. (I Suggest downloading WhatsApp for cost free international texting) I had a terrific time starting with the greeting by one of the Surf Factory instructors showing me where to park in a gated courtyard. Nadine, who turned out to be the surfing photographer, was next and she introduced me to my instructor Amber. Amber was very meticulous in letting me know what the plan was, giving safety instructions and walking me through on land how to walk the board through the waves, slide into the board, standing up, falling safely, etc. The wave action was not too bad for my newbie self and I was surprised how well I was able to do with Amber’s help in a short period of time. The Surfing Factory has secure lockers to store your car keys and your change of clothes if you wish along with outside showers to rinse off. They also have rash guard surf shirts to borrow so you don’t have to get your own top wet. The surfing photos (for a small fee) of me were an unexpected treat as I came by myself and did not know this option would be available. I am inspired to continue my lessons when I return home to Florida. Thank you all for a memorable time.

Terrible communication - Very difficult getting the location figured out. Went to scout it out the day before and initially they said we didn't have appt for the next day and sent us elsewhere. That place said no, so we went back and they said yes we had one but meeting place is at the beach at the hotel 9. We drove down there, couldn't find it so the boys started asking at all the surf lesson places on the beach. They foynd one that said yes it was the place. Next day, they went for the lesson but was told not on schedule. They adked again at the different places and one said yes. They had their lesson and was happy, however, we were to learn that it wasn't with the right group. I started getting phone calls and text messages from and it was bordering on harrassment, argument and forceful language about payment and they were waiting for us. Very disorganized and difficult to find them. Shame on them for this.
