Memorable and beautiful! - Our driver and tour guide (both Carlos!) we’re fabulous! Carlos the tour guide was by far the most knowledgeable and people friendly tour guide I’ve ever had for anything! He kept us entertained, educated, and active. He gave us plenty of time to experience the wildlife individually ever time we spotted something. He went out of his way to locate animals (sloths, monkeys, birds, reptiles, turtles…)that were hidden and tucked away and gave us plenty of extra info about each one. Stopping at the beach was a plus and lunch was delightful and tasty! Thank you, Odyssey Adventures and especially Carlos (aka Charlie!) for a memorable day!

Park and beach tour - I joined 11 other folks on this tour of Manuel Antonio Park. This is one of the tours that originates in Jaco, so I was able to get picked up in Esterillos Oueste. We stopped at a little bakery in Parrita where I got a delicious spicy and savory arreglada and some coffee. The guide let us know our lunch choices and put in the order ahead of time so the meal was ready when we arrived at the restaurant in Quepos after the park tour. The walk in the park followed the main path to the beach. We walked slowly and our guide expertly picked out multiple flora and fauna. He took photos through the scope and shared them with us after. We saw all the usuals. At the beach we had an hour to swim or walk around. **Notes about the park: Lunch wasn’t until 2 (no food allowed in the park ), so plan accordingly. I would have eaten two arregladas! Even if you have been traveling with and reusing the same plastic water bottle for two weeks, if it is of the sort that can be bought already containing water, it is not allowed in the park. You will have to buy an expensive, cheaply made plastic or metal bottle just outside the entrance, which the vendor will fill from plastic disposable water bottles. Lol.

Educational and easy way to tour Manuel Antonio National Park! - Manuel Antonio National Park is a must-see if you are in the area, and this tour company did a good job of making our visit fun, educational and easy. The van that transported us from Jaco to the park was clean and comfortable, with free wifi and good air conditioning. The tour of the park was educational (learning about the flora and fauna, as well as the wildlife). We didn't see as many animals as we had expected to see, but that is not something the tour company could control. (We did see two kinds of monkeys, a sloth, bats, frogs, birds, etc.) The lunch was not spectacular, but it was nice to have a hot meal and a cool beverage after walking through the jungle and then hanging out on the beach. Speaking of beverage, the tour was advertised as providing bottled water, but none was offered to us. Also, kudos to our guide (Ronnie)...there were some challenging issues and people in our group, and he handled everything very professionally!

Great beach, nice lunch, fun to see some monkeys, but we didn’t feel it was much of a jungle tour. - The tour was well-organized and all activities were scheduled and on time. We were disappointed that it didn’t really seem to be an authentic jungle tour. It was more like a nature walk on a path with a lot of people, maintenance people, etc. We didn’t see a lot of wildlife and what we did see mostly required a telescope to actually see.

Highly not recommended - The reality is that the walk through the park made practically no sense to me. With luck, with a telescope you could see the silhouette of what could be a sloth at the top of a tree. Throughout the tour we saw 3 monkeys, 2 bats in the distance, and the occasional smaller bug, hyper camouflaged, and at a great distance. I travel a lot and I expected to see a lot more fauna in Costa Rica. In Thailand in a similar park the number of animals was incomparable! Thousands of animals, countless. The monkeys in their hundreds. After the whole journey that seemed eternal, we arrived at a really beautiful beach where we were given just 20 minutes to enjoy it. The mediocre food, the cold drinks, the soft drinks you have to pay for separately, otherwise they give you juices full of sugar... anyway ... I do not recommend it

Disappointing - This trip was not for us. The guide spent 80% of our time on the gravel entry way at the beginning of the park looking through the telescope at every bug and leaf. While interesting at first, it was just way too long and boring. We tried to go explore the beautiful trails and asked the guide if we could meet him somewhere at the end and he would not give us a meeting place and insisted we stay with him. I’ve been to the park before and this trip just seemed like a lot of time was wasted.

Cancelled tour. Was going to be the highlight of Costa Rica - Tour was cancelled 2 days before leaving. Why are you still allowed to book?? Please take the tour down to avoid disappointing more people.

Tour cancelled after scheduled pick up time due to lack of people - Wouldn't recommend booking as a solo traveller if you're on a tight schedule. Tour was cancelled on the day of because they didn't have enough numbers to make it worth their while. Only problem with that was noone contacted me to let me know. I waited at reception for 30mins after pickup time of 7am before having receptionist call the company to see what was happening. There are plenty of places to book locally, and immediately that are great and can tell you if a trip will happen or not. This gives you opportunity to book something else then and there so you won't waste any days.
