most populated crocodile rivers in the world! From our safe river boat, we cruise the river observing
American crocodiles of all sizes in their natural habitat and up-close. Other reptiles such as iguanas and
lizards that run on water are also frequently spotted. The river is home to an abundance of beautiful exotic
birds, such as the Roseate Spoonbill, Scarlet Macaw, and a variety of Kingfishers, Egrets. In one tour it is possible to spot around 50 different varieties of birds! Admire the rivers’
surrounding rainforest scenery as we make our way towards the Guacalillo mangrove forest. We pass
through the dense mangrove canals where animals such as monkeys, raccoons, and mangrove crabs may
be seen. Our informative and fun tour guides accompany our visitors and provide interesting information
about the river’s flora and fauna and ensure that everyone has a one-of-a-kind experience!

Great tour with a great guide - It ear a very nice and funny guide. We were the only guests on the boat.
It was really tried that we could do everything very well: Crocodiles and lots of birds.
Have also just enjoyed the silence

Best tour ever!! - The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The jovial spirit they carried with them from the inception to the very end was humorous and added excitement to the trip. As for the crocodiles, we actually saw a lot of them up close and personal for pictures. Definitely worth it! 🇻🇨

Felt extremely safe and saw a lot of wildlife - Our guide was fun, the captain was professional, and we saw a lot of wildlife and learned a lot. We felt very safe the whole time.

By Crikey! Lots of CROCS! - By crikey we saw crocs!!! Within the first 30 seconds of being in the boat we saw a large croc! Captains Juan and Jose led us on a croc hunt that was AWESOME. He said he guaranteed spotting 30 and indeed we did and maybe more. All sizes from the large infamous Tornado and Osama Bin Ladan to the sleek Shakira and little ones with no names, we saw them all. Just as interesting as the crocs were the birds! All kinds and colors of birds and even some large iguanas. We will be back when we have more guests. We also appreciated the corny jokes all along the way.

Up close and personal with the crocs! - Our captain, and Jose and Deanna were amazing tour guides… Jose is so knowledgeable of all the flower’s, birds, wildlife in Costa Rica. He is passionate about the ecosystem and shared a lot of his knowledge with us. Also, Jose is hysterical. He has a lot of great jokes.The captain took us to all the crocodile hangouts.🤣 which was amazing we had an up close and personal experience with all the crocodiles they have names for the crocs. It was so funny excellent excellent tour thank you so much for the amazing time… Good luck, Deanna in your adventure as a future tour guide.

Great guide! So funny and very knowledgeable! - Jose our guide was great! He was so funny and full of energy. He kept us laughing. Nice boat ride down the river, saw so many crocodiles and many birds as well. Boat was very spacious, not many people at a time as they run every 2 hours. Great experience

Worth to try :) - Nice trip, huge crocodiles, nice nature :) Do not regret money. We were alone on boat. The guide did not enjoy it that much this time but nevermind. Everything was fine :) can recommend

Crocodile tour in Costa Rica - If you're visiting Costa Rica, don't miss the Crocodile Man Original Tour! It was one of the highlights of our trip. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, and you get to see massive crocodiles up close in their natural habitat. The boat ride is both thrilling and safe, with amazing views of the wildlife. Perfect for families, nature lovers, and adventure seekers. A must-do experience!

A Concerning Wildlife Interaction at Crocodile Bridge - In a country where over 50% of the land is nature preserve, respect for wildlife should be second nature; yet, apparently, that's not always the case. While near Crocodile Bridge, a guide initially pulled his boat close to some massive crocodiles, which was pretty cool. Then, the issues arose.
He decided to clap to get the crocodiles closer to the boat, which clearly pestered them but did manage to draw them nearer. He then grabbed a nearby stick and began waving it at a crocodile, again agitating it. Finally, he smacked the stick on the ground, tricking the crocodile into thinking there was an animal on the nearby embankment. Did this get the crocodile close to the boat? Yes. Was it disrespectful, unprofessional, and unsafe? Also yes, especially once we saw guests leaning over the railing with their arms and cell phones about two feet from the crocodiles.
Once the boat departed and eventually returned to the spot, the crocodiles had left their original location, ruining the chance for a second sighting as well as the view for those on the bridge. I wasn't in the boat; I simply witnessed dangerous and disrespectful behavior and believe future visitors ought to be aware.
