Riverside/Avondale Historic District - These historic neighborhoods have many parks, historic homes, and shoppes plus such much more to see and learn. These neighborhoods were created mainly after our famous 1901 fire that destroyed our downtown. Several famous Southern Rock bands started their musical career here in this area, so you’ll get to see where it all began. Memorial Park, dedicated to our WWI fallen community members. And so much more.
Memorial Park - This park is dedicated to the fallen WWI from our city. This beautiful park overlooks the St. John’s River as well.

Go Tuk’n is the exclusive operator of this tour. The pair of historic districts we’ll be exploring were established following Jacksonville’s 1901 fire. The distinctive residential design within these neighborhoods is among the most unique throughout the United States. Moreover, we’ll venture to Memorial Park, a tribute to World War I veterans, situated on the scenic St. John’s River. Great intro to the city - A great tour of downtown area. Knowledge abounds with history, architecture, culture at the same time fielding questions. Russell was so friendly and responsive and interesting and fun to be with. Thanks we learned a ton!

Fascinating Tour of the architectural history of the area! - Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the architectural history of the area. Her comments about the homes that we toured were accurate and provided great insight into the era in which they were built. I would recommend this tour without reservation! It’s a great way to orient guests from out of town to some of the most interesting aspects of downtown Jacksonville.

A great tour - Katie was an excellent tour guide. Fun, friendly, and full of information. We like to tour cities we visit so we booked this one as we enjoy history and architecture. The golf cart was great as you can see well out of them and feel the nice weather. We could take the tour again and still learn a lot since there is so much information provided. It is a little pricey, but this is not a high-volume tour area. We highly recommend it.

Enjoyable - I loved the myriad of building styles and famous architects that can be seen side by side in the Jacksonville area for to the rebuilding after the mattress fire. Our guide was knowledgeable and flexible to our interests. This made a wonderful experience.

Not like a tour, more like a friend showing you around - A MUST FOR YOUR TRIP TO JACKSONVILLE. TONI is engaging, extremely knowledgeable and fun. It was less like being on a tour and more like having a friend show you around. Definitely memorable.

Great tour with a wonderful guide! - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Toni was charming and knowledgeable, generously welcomed our questions and was attentive to our needs and safety. The tour took us through a couple of gorgeous historical neighborhoods, presenting lots of fascinating architecture and history. We plan to try one of the other tours on a return trip to Jacksonville.

Great guide but tough viewing for taller people. - Our guide Toni was amazing. She really knew her stuff. We enjoyed it immensely, however my husband is 6’2” and he couldn’t see most of the homes due to the way the Tuk tuk was made. I however was fine. (5’4”). We had a great time, just wish the sight line was better for a taller man.
