- Jabal Shams - Prepare for an outdoor adventure; ensure you’re at your designated pick-up spot as our guide will arrive to collect you at 7:00 AM. The journey from Muscat to Jabal Shams spans 3 hours, with intermittent stops at service stations for restroom breaks or to grab a beverage of your choice, hot or cold. Our initial halt is at the ancient Wadi Ghul village, a 2000-year-old settlement at the base of Mountain Ghul, visible en route to Jabal Shams. Once thriving, it now stands deserted, its stone structures echoing a bygone era. We then proceed to Jabal Shams, and upon arrival at the trailhead, we embark on a trek along the W6 path. This hike, lasting around 4 hours, leads to the rim of the canyon, where breathtaking vistas of the surrounding wadis and deep valleys unfold before you.

Awesome view - I did the balcony trail trekking tour with my guide Jamal, who is a friendly person and made the road trip enjoyable. Amazing tour overall. The hike was purely spectacular, highly recommend

A day hiking in the Oman canyon. - Great auditors experience, the canyon is breathtaking. 4 hours hike ending up overlooking a beautiful natural pool and having lunch prepared by our tour guide Ali. Totally recommended to people who enjoy hiking and the outdoors.

A must experience--The Grand Canyon of Oman - The view of "Grand Canyon of Oman" is breath-taking. The hike was moderately challenging but the view was well worth it. Our guide Ali was so helpful and he knows his way around Jabal Shams so well. He prepared a great lunch for our picnic. If you love hiking and trekking, don't miss this experience.
