Camilla Pizzorno, the World Mortar Pesto Champion, will guide participants through the process of making pesto following the traditional recipe passed down through her family for generations. The experience begins with a brief introduction to the history of pesto and Ligurian culinary culture, followed by the selection of ingredients: fresh basil, Italian pine nuts (…).
Participants will use an ancient marble mortar and a wooden pestle, adhering to tradition, to create their own pesto, rediscovering timeless techniques and authentic aromas. Throughout the preparation, Camilla will share stories, interesting facts, and valuable tips for achieving perfect pesto.
