Best Food Tour I’ve done on 5 continents - I’ve done food tours hither and yon, but this one takes the cake. We started on the European side but spent most of our time on the Asian side of Istanbul. That really is where the flavor is! Countless stalls and restaurants, there was so much variety that I lost track of what all I had eaten - good thing I took pictures! The tour guide Bahri did an excellent job of dropping in history, and also came in clutch with his recommendation of “City Planner,” and app that does a better job of mapping public transit than Google Maps. I used it to get back to my hotel well west of the old town, and it works very well This was absolutely a highlight of my trip to Istanbul. Thanks so much for the great experience!

One of the best food tours I have taken - This tour is awesome. The guides really take care of you. We had Bahri. He was great. Tons of cultural knowledge, Turkish food insights, and history. Don’t eat before tour. Also a bit of walking. Would say 14k steps as you go around the city. Mainly flat but still your walking. Food was amazing. 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 6 snacks, deserts, it was really a full gambit of all the Turkish favorites. We loved it! No need for dinner either. So much food. The value here is second to none. Bahri always had waters for hydration, ferry fares, etc. Your taken care of the whole way. This is a must in Istanbul. You learn so much of the culture through food and the history of it! Enjoy!

Amazing tour! - Our guide was Öykü, and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable and warm. We learned a lot and had a fantastic time. The food was fantastic & we would highly recommend the Taste of Two Continents Tour to anyone considering it. She told us where the locals shopped vs the touristy places, which was so helpful compared to the other tour we did in Istanbul yesterday with a different company which felt like more of a sales experience.

Eating thru Istanbul - The tour was fabulous. Our tour guide, Saleen, was sweet, funny, honest and knowledgeable. We were able to experience turkish cuisine and street food that I might not have tried or known what it is. The tour also consisted of a little history and tips on navigating through the city. After doing the tour, we went back through the city going to some of the restaurants and buying some items. We loved the tour so much that when we ran into some American tourists we recommended the food tour to them.

Good but overpriced - This food tour was interesting and worth the time if you are into food and have 5 hours to kill in Istanbul. Ali, our guide was very knowledgeable about not only food but the local culture. Visiting the Asian side was special with a nice ferry ride. My only gripe is we spent nearly $300 with the tip for the two of us and most of the food we tasted were bits here and bites there and all was served in a rustic environment. I do not mind rustic but the tour price charged does not commensurate the food presentation, quantity and quality. Turkish breakfast started with the guide bringing most items in his backpack in small cellophane wrapped plastic trays and serving it on the terrace of a delapidated restaurant on paper plates on a long table covered with sheets of newspaper. There were 7-8 stops after that each serving a bowl of soup, a piece of local sweet, some pickles, ice cream, etc. Ishkander kebab on the Asian side was the highlight - we got half a kebab. Overall an ok experience made worthwhile by our guide Ali but just do not believe we got anywhere close to $300 worth of food experience here. I recommend you review what other food tours offer before deciding on how you spend your time and money.
