• Kapali Carsi - Kapali Carsi is among the largest and oldest covered markets globally, featuring over 58 covered streets and more than 1,200 shops. Established in 1461, it is renowned for its jewelry, pottery, spice, and carpet shops. Many stalls in the bazaar are organized by the type of goods, with dedicated areas for leather coats, gold jewelry, and similar items. The bazaar includes two bedestens (domed masonry structures built for storage and safekeeping), the first of which was constructed between 1455 and 1461 by the order of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. The grand bazaar comprises 12 major buildings and has 22 entrances.
• Blue Mosque - The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque - Camii) was constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmet I between 1609 and 1616. It is the only mosque in Turkey with six minarets. Its stunning hand-dyed blue, green, and white Iznik tiles have led Europeans to name it the “Blue Mosque.” The central dome stands 43 meters high and measures 33.4 meters in diameter, featuring 260 windows.

It was built during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century AD and has recently been reconverted into a mosque.
