Pasha was an important officer during the Ottoman era when the region was captured. However, Pasabag is more commonly referred to as Monks Valley, a name it earned due to the numerous monk refuges carved into the soft rock cones.
Goreme Open-Air Museum - The Goreme Open-Air Museum resembles an extensive monastic complex, consisting of numerous refectory monasteries placed side-by-side, each with its own remarkable church.
Uchisar Castle - Uchisar is situated at the highest point in Cappadocia, on the Nevsehir-Goreme road, just 5 km from Goreme. The top of Uchisar Castle offers a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding area, with Mount Erciyes visible in the distance.
