I adore this dive center! The dive boat is never too crowded, usually just the guide and a few divers. - I love this dive center! The dive boat is never overcrowded, often with just the guide plus a few other divers. The underwater sights like Musa, the Machones reefs, Grampin Reef, and Sleeping Shark Cave are teeming with sea life including Nurse Sharks, Turtles, Pufferfish, Barracuda, Triggerfish, and more. We even spotted dolphins once! The wrecks, C55, C58, and Ultrafreeze, are fantastic, and sometimes the staff hunts lionfish, turning them into delicious Ceviche for the trip back. The staff, from the front desk to the dive instructors, are exceptional. Kate is particularly knowledgeable and helpful, Tyto is a marine biologist, Denny ensures relaxed dives, Fred is an excellent guide, and Lalo ties everything together on the boat. Lastly, shout out to Lina, a volunteer who's on her way to becoming a diver and serves delicious burgers at Isla Burger when not helping out at Pocna.

Pocna Dive Center Delivered - First, we found Pocna based upon a recommendation from a friend who went there and they said that they were flexible and able to accommodate our situation and offer us the best experience. He wasn't wrong. We were thinking of going to somewhere else in the Caribbean, but so glad we came to Pocna and Isla Mujeres. Manlio, the manager, responded to our special request via email with no problems to accommodate our group who was newly certified, long-time certified- but needed a refresher and our not yet certified - but who just needed their open-water dive tests. We asked if we could all be on the same boat, guide and have the newbie still get their skills test. Answer - YES. We wanted to do three days of diving with the last day being their drift dive at Punta Negra. - YES, they could do that. Could it be affordable with rental gear? - YES. Oh, by the way we want a fourth diver to join us on the last dive day, can that be arranged? YES. Did it all happen as expected? YES!!!!! The dive instructors/guides Frederico, Javi and Tyto all did such an excellent job of matching each of our needs while showing us some of the most incredible diving in the world. In our three days (six dives, six different spots) we saw turtles, barracuda, nurse shark, huge crab, eels, countless other fish in schools, individuals. They were great guides and just gave each of us pointers on being better divers. Calma~ Pocna is such a chill and relaxing atmosphere and everyone is so accommodating and willing to take the time needed to help you have a great time. Highly recommend them for all levels of divers and experiences. The equipment was really well maintained and in great working order. Great experience. Will be going back for sure. Got to see some eagle rays, whale shark, and who knows what else!

Great dive experience! - Great dive experience with Tito and all the people at Pocnas. Kind, supportive, helpful and the rental gear was in great shape. These were my first dives after certification and it was a really good experience.

Reactivate with Pocna and Denni - I went to pocna five center to reactivate because I didn't feel comfortable in scuba diving after 2 years of non diving. All the poems team was very warm and reassuring. The instructor Denni was amazing : very professional but with a wonderful pedagogy and patience! I enjoyed the diving a lot! If you have the chance to do so : stop and scuba dive with pocna center!

Amazing Scuba and whale shark swimming experiences - Had to get SCUBA recertification and they made the process easy and stress free. Brenda was extremely helpful and kind. Our instructor, FedEx was very knowledgeable and calming in the pool and during the dive. Great experience and will definitely be coming back to Isla Mujeres and diving with them again. We also did the whale shark swimming through them and had an amazing captain and crew. Carlos, Stevie and Roberto were fun, at ease and experienced.

The best excursion of our entire trip! - Lalo was our guide and he was the best. We also had Alex helping us in the water and he was also terrific! Finally thank you to our captain for taking us out and providing a safe return.

Fantastic from start to finish. - We dove with Fede and it was incredible. The dive was beautiful the staff were all amazing. Fede knew what we wanted to see and helped us find it. Overall great experience! We booked in advance from a different country and all the staff made it very easy.

Great Fun! Clean and Safe! - Luna, Danny, Jose and Lalo were wonderful guides. We had a great boat. Everything was clean and efficient. I felt very safe and in good hands. We had a great time. I highly recommend!

Diving with the stone people - We (myself and my two 18 year old kids) took the afternoon dive to MUSA. The equipment and boat were fine, and our guide was very professional. There were a total of four divers in our group and we felt like we were well taken care of. The dive was about 45 minutes at 25 feet. We had seen the pictures of the underwater sculptures, but in person they were ... pick your adjective (interesting, bizarre, odd) .. but very much worth the visit. It was pretty amazing how quickly the coral had already begun attaching and the fish seems to be happy for the new habitat. For our second dive, we went to a nice reef nearby and dove for another 45 minutes at about 35 feet. The reef was in good shape and there was an abundance of fish life.

Excellent staff and very accommodating - We are absolutely thrilled with our experience at Pocna - it surpassed all of our expectations. In particular, since we selected them for our initial dives following our open water certification, we cannot sing their praises enough. Nina was incredible and we would love to have the opportunity to dive with her again on our next visit. Additionally, they were extremely accommodating with our group of two divers and one snorkeler. It meant a lot to us that we were able to travel together on the same boat and explore the same location while engaging in our respective activities. We are already coming back next month and Pocna is the whole reason we are going back to Isla Mujeres.
