Quality equipment, knowledgeable staff, recommended - We did our OW and AOW with Nina and Pedro the instructors at Aqua, organised by Jason and Jess in the office All the staff we worked with were friendly and helpful. The team worked well with the boat captain making sure the dives for the day were safe and appropriate for conditions, tweaking things to make sure we had the best experience every day. Nina started our journey and made sure we fully understood everything we needed to know to dive safely and was a supportive, understanding and friendly instructor. Pedro was really supportive and knowledgeable, helping me to overcome some issues with the strong current and, having grown up diving this area, was able to answer any question you could think to ask and provide lots of info about the undersea creatures and landscape and navigation of the area. Jason put time into sorting out some PADI admin issues and adjusted our course days/trips to make sure the dives worked well during our time on the island. Overall, the equipment is good quality and the staff are friendly and focused and I would definitely recommend the outfit as a base for diving the area

Really good teachers, who are passionate and pacient. - I took the Open Water Diver course and chose to learn the theoretical part of the course on the classroom. The class was well thought and the practical part was fun and on some very cool diving sites.

Awesome! - If you are looking to learn how to dive , highly suggest signing up with aqua adventures. I feel lucky to have had both Pedro and Emanuel as instructors, and Jason & ara there for support and encouragement before and after each dive day, along with the rest of the crew & El Capitan Wilbert. Pedro taught me crucial skills and instilled a sense of responsibility in following safety procedures while also keeping it fun. My last few days were spent learning from Emmanuel, who helped me feel comfortable and confident in thee deeper waters. I felt so relaxed and will feel forever grateful for his patience and ability to help me safely and calmly navigate the underwater world as a beginner. He is an amazing and supportive coach, clearly so passionate about diving. The MUSA museum was incredible, but the manchones reefs really stole my heart. I’ll never forget swimming and drifting along with the beautiful fishes, admiring the colorful reef gardens, saying hello to the big lobsters and a cute nurse shark. I will never forget this experience, and have already signed up for my first dive here in Seattle in a few weeks! Thank you so so much.

Highly recommend aqua adventures for divers at any level - Amazing experience! So glad we waited to do our open dive certification with Aqua Adventures instead of close to home in a lake. Everyone that we worked with made us feel eddies and confident each step of the way. From getting fitted for our rental equipment, the pre-dive instructions, the dives themselves, and discussing how everything went afterwards. Highly recommend.!

THE BEST SCUBA DIVING SHOP IN ISLA MUJARES - Jason runs a 5 star aquatic adventure business. Open water scuba certification to snorkel trips and anything in between. His instructors are without question top notch and very professional. Safety first and foremost and this group is excellent. My wife and I got certified for PADI open water and could not be happier in every facet of the way Jason and his staff handled us. DO NOT LOOK ELSEWHERE should you have fun aquatic desires. Fantastic Experience - Joined AquaAdventures for Advanced Open Water Certification which proved to be better than expected. Got 1:1 attention and education from Pedro who was able to identify my weaknesses (buoyancy control and O2 consumption) and provide tips on how to remedy both. He has helped improve my overall diving skill. Sharon, in the front office, was very responsive to any enquiries that I had and MOST pleasant to deal with. Jason, divemaster and equipment maintenance was a wealth of information regarding the first time purchase of a regulator. Captain Wilbur was skilled in getting us to the dive spots through occasional less than optimum conditions and was always in the vicinity to pick us up. Melanie and Mario lent a youthful enthusiasm to the activity of diving. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend AquaAdventures for diving on Isla Mujeres. Possibly the only thing missing is a shop dog to welcome customers.
