Best Dive Shop - Squalo Adventures is without a doubt, one of the finest dive operations I've seen. Andres, the owner, is committed, professional, and dedicated to making each experience unique and fun. Roberto has been both my daughter's and my instructor as we've pursued various levels of certification. He literally holds your hand, if necessary, guides you through the skills and dives, and offers a level of comfort that I appreciated when I felt nervous. Roberto is SO good at what he does; and his patience is never ending. It is obvious that he loves it, every dive feels like a new one even though he's been on thousands of dives around the island. Chuy, who is also a top notch instructor at Squalo, is equally wonderful and is an excellent ambassador for the shop and for the Isla Mujeres diving experience. Leandri is so helpful setting up dives, and keeping the shop running She is a true asset as she is often the first person you see when you step in. Whether you're a beginner or an expert diver, you will be happy you sought out Squalo!

Read this- you’re welcome - I don’t do reviews as you can tell, but had to. I’m an expert diver with over 200 dives across the Carribean and Atlantic Ocean. I did a night dive with Roberto and we also did a two tank dive earlier. He was so good that my wife agreed to do a night dive. We did it and man she can’t stop talking about it. We have done cave dives, bull shark dives, deep dives, and I wasn’t expecting to have the adventure that we did. You really should do a day dive with this great shop. If you have any interest in a night dive just do it! It was so incredible seeing the octopi and different creatures that are out. You will see turtles resting on the ocean floor that are absolutely massive! Our gear was washed clean and dried for pick up the next day. The help and instruction was off the charts good and there isn’t a safer operator in the Carribean. The boat has oxygen and the dive protocol was A+. We will come back to Isla to dive with this team again. Thank you!

Great scuba shop on Isla Mujeres - I successfully completed the open water SCUBA diver course. My instructor, Roberto, was great! He was patient and kind. I learned so many important skills and feel very accomplished and excited for my new life as a diver. The shop is run very well. The owner and all personnel are highly qualified and easy to work with. I recommend this shop to all interested. The shop scheduled our whale sharks snorkeling trip too. They can set you up with all the fun activity you desire.

Dive here - Great dive! The people were really friendly and I would highly recommend diving with this outfit. Not only were they super friendly, but they were also very accommodating. It felt like the instructors we dove with really made an effort to ensure our happiness and the best possible experience.

Highly recommend! - We had a great experience diving with Squalo Adventures! The shop is professional, organized and has great equipment. The owner, Andres, is excellent with communication and planning the dives. The dive masters, Roberto and Jesus, are fantastic. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They made for a very safe and amazing diving experience. We dove at MUSA, Manchones reef, C58 wreck dive, punta sur with dozens of sea turtles, and did a night dive. We have done dives with many dive shops around the world. Squalo Adventures is top notch and highly recommended!

Squalo is Numero Uno - There are several dive shops in Isla Mujeres, but for me there is only one - Squalo Adventures. My wife and daughter (18) and I recently vacationed in Isla Mujeres for the express purpose of Scuba diving and Squalo made it an amazing trip for us. From the first moment we entered the dive shop, Leandri was there to say hello and answer all of our questions and offer helpful advice on dives and availability and the myriad of questions you always have. So, we signed up for a dive and it was quick and easy. When we arrived for our dives the next day, we were greeted by the team, including Andres (the owner)(awesome) and Divemasters Jesus and Roberto as well as later, Geiser (Pronounced Hazer) and our boat captain. Everyone there is friendly, professional, responsive to your requests and amazingly good people. The equipment was excellent and included with the price for the dives. The boat is clean and comfortable. And the Dives!!!! Wow!!!. We went out to the Museum and Manchones Reef (day 1) as well as out to Shark Cave and another reef (day 2) and each dive was better than the last. Amazing Fish, Turtles, Rays, a huge school of Jack that swam around us, Barricuda, etc. The water is so clear you can see forever. Jesus and Roberto are great dive masters. They made sure we were all up to speed on our hand signals and planned out the dive for all of us up on top before we went down. They told us what to expect and we saw it. When we needed safety stops, they made sure we all had enough air and time to do them. When we surfaced, the great boat crew made getting our equipment back on the boat, easy. Ample Water is provided whenever you want it and fruit snacks on the ride back were a treat. What a joy to be able to share this with my daughter who had just recently been certified. The whole team at Squalo just seems dedicated to making sure that everyone had a fun, safe and amazing experience. I'm sure that there are other good dive shops on Isla Mujeres, but why would I go there, now that we have found Squalo Adventures. Well Done and Thank You.

Discover Scuba = Great experience for new and non-certified divers!! - I booked the Discover Scuba experience for my husband as a gift. My husband has been diving two previous times, but his last dive was 10+ years ago. I had never been diving, but it was on my bucket list. I worked with Andres via email to book and to confirm a couple of days before; he was very communicative. When we arrived at the shop for our dive, Jesus greeted us and told us he would be our guide. He fitted us for gear and took us to a training area at Centro Beach. Jesus is bilingual, and we never felt there was a language barrier. During the training, even though I told Jesus I was feeling anxious, he reassured me that he was there to keep us safe. We were able to pass the tests, but I was still uncomfortable, so he took me underwater to help me regulate my breathing. He was so so patient!! We went out to sea, and unfortunately, I was unable to go under because of my own anxiety; Jesus was so understanding. He took my husband out for an AMAZING dive where they saw turtles, mating stingrays, the MUSA museum, crab, lobster, and many fish! The Captain, wearing a "SEXY and I know it" cap, who spoke no English, was so sweet to offer me water and teach me how to spot my Espousa with the surface bubbles. Jesus offered me snorkeling gear for the second stop at Manchones Reef, and that was an AMAZING experience!! I can't recommend these guys enough -- a pleasant and very comfortable experience!!

Would do this 1,000,000 times over - Awesome experience with very knowledgeable staff. They're very clear on instructions of the scuba gear and they make sure you're super comfortable before you dive in. Definitely recommend bringing an underwater camera if you have one (proper case for it) and towels. You catch the ferry at Puerto Juarez and take the Ultramar. It's a super cheap ferry and gets you to Isla Mujeres super fast.
