The island only appears at low tide, and its size changes depending on the tide level. The island is surrounded by an unobstructed 360-degree view of the marine blue ocean. It is the best location!

The sea around the Phantom Island is called “sekisei lagoon” and is the largest coral reef in Japan designated as Iriomote Ishigaki National Park!

ishigaki terminal
Near the red mailbox just to the left of the main entrance of Ishigaki Port Terminal.
We can pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation (in the southern area of Ishigaki Island) if you make a reservation by 5:00 p.m. the day before.

Amazing experience with a friendly team! - Beautiful experience snorkeling, we saw many tabletop coral and colorful fishes. The PiPi team made us feel safe and guarded. They were very kind and patient, good teachers. The photos also look great. Amazing experience with a friendly staff!

Nice snorkel experience - The guide is very helpful and caring! The guide took a good video with coral and fish. We did a 15-min snorkel and had a 20-min free time at a beach.

Great tour! - The tour was so much fun! The snorkelling was really cool, we saw so many different fishes and cool corals. Our guide Masahiro was great. He took good pictures for us so we could live in the moment while doing the tour. Thank you!

I definitely want to participate again when I go to Ishigaki Island! - I was a little worried since I had a 6 year old child with me, but all the staff members were very kind and attentive. This is a tour that you can enjoy without worrying even if it is your first time snorkeling. All the staff are warm and kind! They were very involved with the children, and they were open-minded. I was able to tell that all the staff really love the sea and its creatures, which made me happy. Under the sea is very mysterious and very moving. Is this phantom island really the real world? It is so beautiful that you will doubt it. It's something you can never experience on your own.

Great tour! - I was worried about the coldness of the sea, but once I got in the water, I was so engrossed in the beautiful corals and fish that it was no problem at all! Snorkeling was amazing! The guide was cute and always smiling and having fun, so I felt very safe and reliable from the beginning. They took lots of photos and videos! I was grateful because we couldn't take photos while snorkeling by ourselves! The video that the guide took while diving underwater and spinning was amazing!! The guide looked like a mermaid while taking the photos and was really cool, I was mesmerized.
The phantom island was also beautiful, and they were really kind to take memorable photos with the photogenic items they prepared and teach us how to take photos that look good. Thank you very much! It was so much fun!! I will use it again next time!

Landing on a phantom island & snorkeling - The weather was nice, the sea and the phantom island were beautiful!
Some of the kids weren't used to the sea, but the guide was kind and gave easy-to-understand explanations, and everyone was able to enjoy the trip safely😊
The guide in charge was cute, powerful, interesting, and the best👍
I will use him again for tours!

Landing on a phantom island & snorkeling - I went to Ishigaki Island on my graduation trip and participated.
We were blessed with great weather and the sea was beautiful, so it was a lot of fun.
Summer may be a little less cold. I think it would be a good idea to come in spring if you have towels etc.

Phantom Island Tour - The ocean was beautiful, we took lots of photos, and it was a really fun tour!
It's a great memory!
The weather was forecast to be cloudy, but it was blazingly sunny ☀️, and we had the best snorkeling experience 🎵
After snorkeling, the sight of our guide washing his hair with water at the back of the boat was refreshing, just like a commercial lol

Phantom Island Snorkeling - Although I participated alone as a woman, the staff were very friendly and it was a very enjoyable tour.
I was surprised at how beautiful the underwater scenery was!
My body was cold after snorkeling, but I was glad that I could take a hot shower at the end before going home.

Rerouted to Blue Cave due to poor weather - Unfortunately due to poor weather (December) i was unable to go to the phantom island. Luckily, we were rerouted to the blue cave, which was a fantastic alternative. Sights were great and the staff was super helpful and energetic.
