Great tour for first time visitors to Brazil - We had a pleasant evening getting introduced to typical Brazilian foods by a local chef. We were in 3 different settings, the cooking school initially, a juice bar and a restaurant later on. There were lots of different foods to sample!
My son and I did this at the end of our trip, but I would recommend doing it at the beginning of your trip. By the time we did it, we had already done a supermarket tour and cooking class earlier in the week. Not to mention that we had eaten at quite a few good restaurants by then, so we were already familiar with a lot of the offerings. Nonetheless, it was a nice and tasty introduction to Brazilian foods and I would recommend it for first time visitors to Brazil.

Perfect Introduction to Brazilian Cuisine - Chef Luis was the perfect host for our evening. Highly professional, a chef of excellent training and experience, and obviously passionate about Brazil and its cuisine. Highly personable and at home in the kitchen and out on the streets where we sampled street offerings around Ipanema.
Would recommend this outfit to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in what Brazil has to offer

Different, relaxed experience with lots of Brazilian flavors - Excellent proposal. Alex gave us a look at different products and flavors from Brazil!! Our experience colleagues, also great. First at the store, then we went out to a juice store and from there to a bar, to close the night with drinks and more Brazilian flavors. Thank you very much for the experience!!!

Great experience! - We had an amazing experience on this food tour. It was possible to try so many delicious dishes. It was fun to go to different places in Ipanema and try various Caipirinhas, beers, juices and typical bar food.
Furthermore we received a lot of information about brasilian life and food.
Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and on top of that a great cook!
The whole team was very welcoming and competent!
We highly recommend this experience!

Spend an evening and truly eat, talk and drink with a local! - We had an amazing time with Chef Luiz Malta! From the moment we met him at the supermarket it felt like we were spending the evening with an old friend. His knowledge of everything food is very impressive and he mixed in culture and history to the evening and we felt as though we truly learned about eating in Brazil! The food was delicious and plentiful. We tried so many new flavours and learned new foods. Caipirinhas were delicious! After the cooking portion we visited a great fruit stand and enjoyed fresh smoothies and açai to cleanse the palate before finishing odd with a local bar and refreshing beer!! Definitely recommend. Great conversation and great food!!
