We love it - The drive to the castle was pleasant and the guide was very knowledgeable about the area and local customs. The highland country side was beautiful. Stirling Castle was amazing and worth the trip. Be sure and buy the admission tickets to the castle. Loch Lomond was no big deal. If you take this excursion it really is for the castle.

Stirling Castle with lunch and a scenic tour. - Our ship didn't disembark on time but Richard and Jim waited and still gave us the full trip. Richard was very insightful and provided us with a lot of great information and narration along the way. The Castle was a bit challenging given some issues we had (Achilles injury and bad backs) so we could have used a little more time there, but it's probably enough for folks more mobile than us. Lunch was at a nice little town with plenty of restaurants but if you went to a busy one you were probably rushed a bit. They did take us on a back route through the highlands which was beautiful. All in all a good experience. Richard was awesome.

FABULOUS Excursion! - Richard was our tour guide, very knowledgeable and the sites were fantastic! Stirling Castle is a MUST SEE. Hearing the history of Scotland and seeing the countryside was our favorite part of our cruise. They pick you up at the port terminal and that made this perfect for us! We saw some super cute towns. The Trossachs National Park was stunning! Loved our time here! Well worth the price of the excursion!!! And the weather was very nice, windy but not rainy!

Recommend this experience - Great experience. Wanted a tour with Stirling “and then some” and this worked for us. Our ship arrived at port late and the Your Shore Time group worked with us to ensure we got our trip done. Unfortunately this cut the time at the castle a little bit but we still got most or all of it done. YST made sure we made it back to the boat on time.

Guide wasted our time. - Our guide spent a lot of time counting everyone and waiting for people. At Stirling Castle we waiting while he got tickets for those who didnt buy them ahead and then he took us around. I would have rather had the time to explore myself but that was not given as an option. I realized later I could have just gone on my own and then met back at the bus at the appointed time. I fell like I missed many parts of the castle because of the time spent waiting. My biggest complaint was the microphone used by the guide. It was terrible. I was sitting in the front but his vice was garbled and fuzzy and really hard to understand.
