- Casimiro de Abreu - Our Rafting tour in Rio is held in Macaé river, located in Casimiro de Abreu neighborhood, which is about 2 hours from Rio de Janeiro city. The river is 80km long with an 8km rafting. Once in the river, rafting experience can last from 1:30 to 2 hours, according to the water level. Course has about 15 rapids, ranging from 1 to 5 in the summer, 1 to 4 in the spring, 1 to 3 in the fall and 1 to 2 in the winter. Generally, we have a higher water level in the summer, which increases its difficulty and speed. So, in those days, rafting experience is more intense, but with a shorter ride. In the winter, ride may be a bit longer, but the water level decreases and so it does the speed. Average water temperature is around 22° C (70° F) during all year. The scenery along the route is incredible and travelers can testify Atlantic Forest lush vegetation.

Rafting is the practice of fall in rapids, usually using an inflatable boat and safety equipment. FREAKING AMAZING!!!! - Let your guide know you want to get wet!!!!! And he will take care of you!!! The transportation to the site was long and it was a great time for us to rest from an amazing trip. Once we arrived it was SHOW TIME!!!

Must experience when in Brazil - Best experience in Brazil...had mad fun water rafting and u dont have to know how to swim. Thanks Raphael for the suggestion and the awesome planning with wifi the whole trip. Highly recommend Raphael for any tour/trips you want to do in Rio

The best tour we did - Rafting was the best tour we did in Rio. A great guide and a fun day all round. I highly recommend Raphael to anyone interested in doing a tour. Make sure you go the the steak house with him after. Best food in the world!

We did 7 different tours over 7 days... - <p>We did 7 different tours over 7 days in Rio. I have been here many times and done loads of different tours. This was by far the best experience I’ve had. Great Tour with great people. Do this! I guarantee it’s the best tour available.</p>
