Highlights
  • Balikaru - Begin your journey with our Spice Academy, a hands-on learning experience amidst our Herb and Spice Garden, which boasts over 30 distinct plant varieties. Delve into the significance and applications of medicinal herbs, a crucial aspect of everyday Balinese culture.
The ingredients harvested from the Balikaru Garden are integral to the creation of today’s Jamu, a traditional beverage with a history spanning over a millennium, originating from Java. Utilizing age-old family recipes, you will craft two distinct Jamu concoctions with only traditional tools. Experience firsthand the delightful flavors of these healthful beverages.

Next, make a quick transition to the adjacent Cooking Pavilion from the Jamu Pavilion. There, the Balinese kitchen, known as the Paon, awaits to impress you. Our culinary session combines the use of both ancestral and contemporary kitchenware, and our expert chef will guide you through the nuances of Balinese cuisine. Follow their lead to prepare:

Sambal Mate
Base Genap
Tum Ayam
Sate Lilit Ikan
Saos Kacang
