- Junagarh Fort - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Bikaner in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin a tour of the city’s major attractions with an English-speaking local guide.
The tour starts at the 16th-century Junagarh Fort, a remarkable structure featuring imposing bastions, high walls, palaces, courtyards, pavilions, and balconies, all intricately carved from stone. The true allure of the Fort is said to be in its beautifully painted and decorated interiors. The rich mirror work, enamel work, gold work, shell finish, and lacquer work combine to create stunning art. The palaces house royal artifacts such as cannons, thrones, beds, swings, palanquins, and even an airplane.
In the old city, visitors will see the renowned red sandstone havelis, stroll through Bada Bazaar market, and visit the Jain temple, which offers views of the city. An auto rickshaw (tuk-tuk) ride through the narrow streets is also included.
There will be time allocated for a lunch break (lunch not included).
- Bikaner - Following this, the tour proceeds to the Camel Breeding Farm, a National Research Center for Camels. Here, visitors can explore the camel pens and museum, learn about camel breeding, and enjoy a camel ride. Tasting the camel-milk kulfi (ice cream) is also recommended.
Finally, guests will be driven back to their hotel in Bikaner.
