• India Gate - Originally named the All India War Memorial, India Gate is a war memorial located along the Rajpath, on the eastern edge of New Delhi’s ceremonial axis, formerly known as Kingsway. It honors 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died between 1914–21 during World War I in various locations, including France, Flanders, Mesopotamia, Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli, and elsewhere in the Near and Far East, as well as the Second Anglo-Afghan War. The names of 13,300 servicemen, including some from the United Kingdom, are inscribed on the gate.
