Can't miss this opportunity! - By far the best excursion I went on. Every guide there is so friendly and you can tell they love their job. It's quite a hike up to the first waterfall but they take a few breaks. Then once you get to that first one, the adrenaline kicks in and it's such a blast! Matias was a wonderful tour guide and I'm so impressed with his ability to speak multiple languages.

You need to book them, don't hesitate! - From start to finish Fabio and Julian provided a great experience. The photographer was also so sweet and fun to ride with. Once we arrived at the mountain, everything was pretty straight forward, nice 30 min hike. Papito and Tony were our guides to the waterfall and were two of my favorite people. They made the experience so easy and were making jokes with us along the way. The waterfall was AMAZING. From sliding to jumping it was so exhilarating 10/10.

Fun Experience! - A very fun experience! The hike up was a great workout. Once we got to the top we were definitely ready to jump into that fresh water! The jumps and slides were all very safe and fun. Tour guides were experienced and made the tour even more fun. We also had a great driver and guide on the bus to and from the waterfalls. Antonio and Saturnino both excellent.

Awesome trip! - This was a fantastic adventure in the DR! I would highly recommend and will likely do it again! If you don’t like hiking in humidity, I would avoid it however it truly isn’t that long of a trek and the adventure thru the waterfalls made it worth it! The guides were helpful and the pictures were worth the price.

Great tour for the value! - Julio and Manuel were a great guide and driver combo! Julio shared so much history and knowledge about the area and country, and made sure everything went smoothly during our tour! The excursion was a blast, even the food at the waterfalls was one of the best meals we had all week! Definitely save some money for a stop at the artisan workshop at the way back, they have some great items for sale!

Good adventure for a break from the beach - Smoothly driven by Manuel, we were greatly instructed about the history of the place by our tour guide Floricel. Ounce in the jungle, we climbed some stairs and jumped into the fresh water of the waterfalls. It was really refreshing!

Fun, but Bring water! - Overall, it was a good experience. The communication could have been better. This is a 7 hour excursion and they only provide 1 bottle of water, and suggest that you don't pay anything with you. Once you start your excursion you don't have anything else but your bottle of water. We only got a few minutes to grab a drink and a snack about 5 hours into the excursion. You need to make sure that you have tennis shoes you don't care about getting wet otherwise you'll be wearing water shoes while hiking and that's can be very uncomfortable.

Dangerous - We booked the Damajagua Falls excursion for 14 people while on a cruise. When we arrived, there were hundreds of people there. We began the hike up the mountain…which took a ridiculous amount of time due to the amount of people and the multiple stops we made. It was pouring rain and cold. Once at the top, they told us to get in the cold water and wait. And, wait some more. It was freezing and miserable. Then they started throwing us down the waterfalls. The crew took forever getting us there but suddenly it was a super rush to grab and push us down the falls. Multiple people in our party of 14 were injured…getting scraped, bruised and bleeding. They threw my sister in the water and then allowed someone to jump who then landed on top of her and she had to be pulled out from under. There were supposed to be 7 waterfall slides but the tour only did 4 (which turned out to be a blessing). When we got back to the main area, we went to the ladies room to use the bathroom and change. The toilets weren’t working so there was pee and poop everywhere. It was unsanitary and disgusting. I couldn’t even change into dry clothes there because it was so gross. That excursion is unsafe. Until they can improve their process and conditions there, I would avoid it.
