Duration: 4 hours

Highlights
  • Via dei Cofferi, 12 - The cooking school will start around 10:30 in the morning, but not before we have gotten to know each other, talked a bit, and perhaps taken a short tour of the farm property where we can admire our olive grove and the field where I grow saffron. Then, together, we will learn to make homemade pasta, using our herbs from the garden and our extra virgin olive oil. We will also learn how to create different pasta shapes (tagliatelle, ravioli). I will teach you how to prepare the dough to make bread and Schiacciata and how to have many different recipes from this very versatile dough.
We will prepare a complete menu including appetizers, first courses, second courses, side dishes and dessert and we will sip some good local wine, perhaps a nice Chianti from the area!
Then after cooking if the weather permits… we will enjoy lunch outdoors in the garden overlooking the vineyards and olive trees immersed in the nature of Chianti… there is nothing more relaxing and satisfying than enjoying the peace and the tranquility that the Tuscan countryside can give us!! Our farm stands at the top of a hill surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and 360 degree woods, therefore an oasis of guaranteed relaxation!!

Additional Information

This is an interactive cooking class where the participants are directly involved in the cooking process. It’s not just a demonstration, the attendees will get hands-on experience. The class focuses on straightforward traditional recipes that can be easily recreated at home. The class is held on my farm where I produce saffron oil, grow a variety of vegetables and raise chickens. The ingredients that we’ll be using are extremely fresh, most of which are produced on the farm. If the weather allows, the class will be held outdoors overlooking the beautiful vineyards and olive trees and we’ll dine al fresco on the dishes we’ve prepared. Otherwise, the class will be conducted in our barn. The farm, located at the top of a hill, is an idyllic escape from the noise, traffic and pollution. We also accommodate requests for vegetarian meals.

Cooking in Tuscany with a View! - This was an experience unlike any other! Even my husband, who has never been to a cooking class, loved it! We made pasta, bread, & appetizers with a fun group and then enjoyed lunch together on a covered patio. Our chef/teacher was friendly, informative and helpful! We had beautiful weather and the wine that accompanied our lunch was grown and bottled on site! I recommend this experience for all ages and cooking levels. A cookbook with additional recipes was included (& emailed) with the class.

MUST TRY EXPERIENCE IN THE FLORENCE COUNTRYSIDE! - Outstanding experience!! Camilla’s family couldn’t be a better host. We had an amazing time and made so many delicious dishes. The class was very hands on and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We also had a tour of their amazing gardens & barnyard animals. It was such an intimate & engaging experience (only 6 people) and had great conversations with the other families. We dined with an amazing view of the Tuscan hills and it was a nice escape from the bustling city center. If you want to experience what it’s like to cook with an Italian family and eat some delicious Tuscan cuisine — this is the place to go. *They even helped us call a taxi to get back to our hotel in the city (since it was a 30 min drive) which we really appreciated :))* Thank you again to Camilla & her family for the above and beyond experience.

I highly recommend taking the classes with Camilla Romoli, it is the best experience I have ever had. - My daughter booked a cooking class for us in Tuscany, best and magical experience! The Cofferi 1242 is located in Chianti surrounded of three acres of olive grove, Via dei Cofferi, 12, 50026 San Casciano in val di Pesa. As we entered such a magnificent setting, the venue was arranged so beautifully for the class. I couldn’t wait to start cooking. Before we began, she offered us an exquisite Capuchino… The environment was so friendly and just so wonderful even with the view. Camilla introduced us to her family and let’s not forget little Pepe, the most gorgeous and friendly little goat who came to visit us during class. The menu she prepared for us was perfect! Focaccia, Ravioli, just to mention a few products we prepared and all of them were fresh. The bread, pasta, and especially the olive oil, was the best!!!! When our creations arrived after she placed them in the oven, our expectations continued to be exceeded. By the end of the class we were already planning what to purchase first, of course the olive oil was first on our list, and I couldn’t wait to go home and order the pasta machine! The ambiance was perfect, the wonderful food, superb hostess/teacher and an amazing set up, overall, this was an incredible experience. I highly recommend The Confferi 1242, so if you ever travel to Tuscany, add Camilla’s class to your To Do List, you will not regret it! - Deborah from Florida

Favorite experience in Tuscany! - My husband and I had the best time at this cooking class! Our wonderful host, Camilla, and her family welcomed us to their beautiful farm and gave us a tour. We drank wine and made all different kinds of pasta and focaccia and ate all of it while looking out at the Tuscan hillsides. It was such an authentic and fun experience and the views, food, and company couldn’t have been better!

Don't hesitate - this class can't be beat! - Camilla's cooking class was the highlight of our trip! She welcomed us onto her farm, shared all kinds of information about how she and her husband started offering cooking classes, introduced us to her family and her animals, and then we got down to business. The outdoor terrace that Camilla and her husband have created was the perfect space to enjoy some wine, to spend some time together with others in the class, and to learn how to make focaccia and pasta. She is a great instructor, adding in some humor along the way - and the lunch we enjoyed at the end of our work was incredible! My husband and I cannot recommend this class enough - if you're heading to Tuscany, this should be on the top of your list as far as something to do!

Best day of our vacation! - We had an amazing time at our cooking class with Camilla. It was the highlight of our vacation. First of all, the view is breathtaking. It looks like a Tuscan postcard with views of the countryside, vineyards and the family's olive orchard. Camilla was very welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. We met her husband, the sommelier and her son who is joining the family business. We drank their delicious wine while we made pasta and focaccia bread using their olive oil on the terrace overlooking the view and listening to the chickens and donkeys in the background. We sat family style to enjoy our creations (best pasta of the trip!) and drink more wine. We went home with a full recipe book and an extra hug from Camilla. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. My husband, my son (29), my daughter (26) and I made memories to last a lifetime!
