While its origins are deeply rooted in the spiritual aspects of Balinese culture, Kecak is a Balinese dance and chant that narrates the battle from the Hindu epic Ramayana, where Rama combats the demonic King Rawana with the aid of the monkey god, Hanuman.

Amazing performance - Excellent performance and beautiful setting at this temple. We were very impressed by the whole experience. It started raining half way through but it didn’t bother us that much. Bring rainclothing maybe just in case. We bought our ticket at the booth at the right at the temple entrance a couple of days before. Make sure that you arrive at least half an hour before the start or even earlier to have the best seating.

Great Show in Ubud - I really liked the Kecak Dance in Ubud. The music and the fire were cool. The dancers moved in a special way to tell a story. It was fun and interesting. The place was nice, and the sunset made it even better. You should see this if you come to Bali!
