• Charminar - This grand monument showcases the splendor of the Qutub Shahi Dynasty. It is a large square structure, standing 56 meters (183.72 feet) tall and 30 meters (98.42 feet) wide. Constructed entirely from granite and lime mortar, it features four minarets, one at each corner. These fluted minarets are connected to the main building and ascend to a height of 56 meters (183.72 feet), each with a double balcony. From afar, this tribute to aesthetics appears robust and solid, but as one approaches, it reveals itself as an elegant and romantic structure, highlighting its architectural brilliance in every detail.

• Hussain Sagar Lake - Spanning an area of 5.7 square kilometers, this lake features an 18-meter high monolithic statue of Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, situated on an island in the lake’s center.

• Salar Jung Museum - Located at Darushifa on the southern bank of the Musi River, this art museum houses a vast collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artifacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from regions such as Japan, China, Burma, Nepal, India, Persia, Egypt, Europe, and North America. The Salar Jung Museum is India’s third-largest museum, boasting the world’s largest one-man collection of antiques. It is renowned across India for its valuable collections from various civilizations dating back to the 1st century. The former Prime Minister of the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad dedicated a significant portion of his income over 35 years to amass this priceless collection, which was his life’s passion. It is believed that the current collection represents only half of the original art wealth gathered by Salar Jung III. Closed on Fridays.

• Chowmahalla Palace - Once considered the heart of Hyderabad, the magnificent Chowmahalla Palace served as the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, where the Nizams hosted official guests and royal visitors. Built over 200 years ago, Chowmahalla is celebrated for its unique style and elegance. A blend of various architectural styles and influences, the palace complex has been carefully restored. It includes several courtyards, a clock tower, a council hall, and an ornate and expansive Darbar Hall, which once accommodated over 7,000 attendants. Closed on Fridays.

• Mecca Masjid - The city’s oldest and largest mosque, construction began in 1617 under the direction of Muhammed Quli Qutub Shah, supervised by Mir Faizullah Baig and Rangiah Choudhary. Mughal emperor Aurangzeb completed it in 1694, taking 77 years to become the magnificent structure seen today.
