- Mecca Masjid - Our next stop is Mecca Masjid, one of the oldest mosques in India. The foundation stone was laid by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. The bricks used in the mosque’s construction were made from soil brought from Mecca! This impressive mosque can accommodate over 10,000 people.
- Chowmahalla Palace - The final part of our tour takes us to Chowmahalla Palace, the residence of the Nizams, who were once the wealthiest individuals in the world. Notable features of this palace include a water fountain, vintage cars, intricate carvings, glass chandeliers, and the grand durbar hall. During the Nizams’ prime, as many as 7,000 attendants served in this palace! Our guide will provide insights into the personal and political lives of the Nizams of Hyderabad.
