- Best Clucking Place Farms - Welcome to Best Place Farms, home to the cutest KuneKune pigs in Hutto! You’ll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have piglets that are living on the farm, you’ll get to meet them too! We’ll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and other animals on the farm! You’ll also learn how to make them sit and get their treats. They love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed.

At Best Place Farms, we host KuneKunes, or ‘kooney kooney’ as they are pronounced. This unique breed of pig was on the brink of extinction in the 1970s. Known for their extraordinarily gentle nature, they are astounding as pets and incredibly suited for contact with people. We invite you to get acquainted with our KuneKunes and understand our adoration for them!

Farm animal fun. - Two lovely young ladies showed us all around the farm. We got to see not only the pigs but cows, sheep, a miniature pony, ducks and chickens while two Corgis followed along. We got to feed the cows and the sheep and I was so excited to hold a week old lamb. So much fun. They also rent out a couple of tiny houses on the property which I will certainly look into if we return to the Austin area. Loved it. Thank you girls for making it a fun day.

Birthday party! - We had my daughter's third birthday party here and it was so much fun! The girls fed the cows and the sheep and got a whole tour that also included pigs, chickens, and ducks, and a good supply of baby sheep and pigs. It was a relaxed atmosphere where kids could focus on the animals they wanted to interact with. We also had a bouncy castle, tables set up for people to eat at, and a nice little area for the kids to play and parents to watch. All the girls had a lot of fun! Thank you!

Great farm visit - I'm obsessed with piggies so when I saw this farm I had to go while my wife and I were in Austin. We went with my friend and her daughter and we all truly enjoyed our time at this farm. The owner, Michelle, showed us around and introduced us to the cows, horse and pigs. We learned the history of kune kune pigs and we even got to hold 2 little ones! That was so lovely! They were the cutest pigs ever! Even the adult pigs were adorable. I wanted to hug them too, but they were too dirty. There was a young lady, Mackenzie, who helped around too and she was nice as well. Michelle was so nice with accommodating the date and time we were able to make it for the tour. It’s not that far from Austin so I would highly recommend making a stop here if you love pigs as much as I do! 😍🐷

Wonderful, sweet experience - This is a sweet experience and very kid friendly. The kune kune pigs will let you pet them and will sit for treats. It’s possible to hold the little piglets too. I had never seen a kune kune pig before so this was a neat experience. The farm owner and her daughter gave us the tour and both were so kind and welcoming! I learned a lot about this special breed of pigs.
