  • Hue Imperial City (The Citadel) - Located on the bank of Song Huong- Perfume River; Hue, the capital of Thua Thien Hue province in Central Vietnam, is 700 km southern Hanoi, 1100km northern Ho Chi Minh City, and only a few miles from the sea. Not until 1945 was Hue the national capital, the political, cultural and religious center of Vietnam under the control of Nguyen Dynasty. Most well-known for its historic values; Hue had been recognized as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
  • Thien Mu Pagoda - Thien Mu is an active Buddhist monastery with origins dating back to 1601. One of its most poignant displays is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime.
  • Tomb of Khai Dinh - Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, designed to blend in with its natural surroundings and built on principles of feng-shui.

TOUR SCHEDULE :
We will arrange for a tour guide to fetch you from CHAN MAY or TIEN SA Port. (Please provide us with your Pick-up & Drop-off timings as per your cruise ship’s schedule. Find our guide who will be holding a sign with your name written on it just a few steps away from the ship.

Once we reach Hue, we will explore the Citadel, which is Hue’s main attraction, comprising of the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor’s Private Residence. Hue gained its fame as the Imperial City during the Nguyen Emperors’ reign from 1803 – 1945.

Lunch will be had at a local restaurant.

We will journey to the Thien Mu Pagoda, recognised by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue. Being an active Buddhist monastery, its roots can be traced back to 1601. Additionally, we’ll enjoy a calming 30 Minute Boat Trip on the Perfume River.

Our visit to the tranquil Khai Dinh Royal Tomb is next, a location that was thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the surrounding nature and was built on principles of feng-shui.

Following this, we will begin our return journey to the port, ensuring you are back at least one hour or more prior to your ship’s departure.
