A great way to spend an evening in Shanghai - A huge thank you to our guides Jade and Jim for a wonderful food tour. We were taken to some amazing places to try traditional Shanghai dishes including noodles, dumplings and dim sum. We loved our tea room experience as well. We ended a great evening by enjoying a drink together at a brewery in the French Concession area. Would highly recommend this tour.

Super food and super guide - Beautiful gastronomic experience led by a very talented pink-haired guide. The very nice girl (Jade, if I didn't misunderstand her name) took us to 6 different and authentic places (not the usual stuff for tourists) to taste what the inhabitants of Shanghai eat, explaining the meaning and ingredients of each dish. and the correct way to eat it. In addition to explaining the food to us, walking through the streets of the city he told us a bit of the history of Shanghai and today's social life. We tasted real noodles, tried different types of tea, fruit, dumplings, dim sum, beer etc… he even helped us buy green tea. Even though our English was a little rusty, she was very nice and friendly and made us spend 3 and a half hours of carefree eating happiness. As an Italian who loves good food my rating is 10 cum laude!

Amazing discovery with Jade - Jade guided us, my son and I, for our first day in Shanghai in an amazing discovery tour. Great food in authentic places, tea tasting, local market, a perfect blend. We were just the 2 of us with Jade and she really made it lively, bringing lot of information on the city and the way of life. Definitely recommend to start your stay with this tour !

Great food and terrific company - I was lucky enough to be solo on this tour, and guided by the wonderful Jade who showed me places I never would have attempted to go on my own. Jade was so knowledgeable, explaining some of the history of the Former French Concession, while we tried amazing dishes such as soup noodles, Xiaolongbao, and the greatest crispy pork soup dumpling I've ever tried in my life! I loved visiting local places where the residents go and seeing first hand how it's all made. Jade is a fantastic guide - so charming, funny and spontaneous. Renting and riding a bicycle through the streets of Shanghai was awesome, and she helped me set up my Alipay so that I can pretty much do anything from the app! The pace of the tour was great, and she was good enough to warn me not to fill up too fast on food because of the places we were visiting. I absolutely loved the tour, and highly recommend it. 👌

Great food, great guide, and great tour! - Jim has a great vibe and made the tour super enjoyable. Good stories of traditions and culture. Nice combination of foods; a little noodles, a lil dum sum, kebabs, bao, and desserts and a few beverages in between including a treat. Was not hungry by the end :) Great night indeed, would recommend!

Amazing Jade - Amazing Jade - my daughter and I did the foodie tour yesterday with Jade who was a super host and we had a lot of fun. Tasted some great local cuisine , looked round a local Market and even had a little cycle experience which was a lovely bonus . Jade was so kind and accommodating with my daughter’s dietary needs couldn’t of been more helpful. She also helped us do a little food shopping to get some wheat free products . I will definitely do this tour again (in approx two weeks time ) this time with my vegetarian friend. Don’t hesitate book this tour you will definitely enjoy it and not leave hungry

Recommend to start your SH trip with Jim's tour - We took a breakfast tour; there were about 7 dishes we tasted from local streets, fruit shops, tea shops in a drug store, a wet market to old/legendary Xiao Long Bao restaurants. Learning and absorbing yourself into Shanghai's way of life through food and good conversation.

Jade was a gem. - Definitely the highlight of our visit to Shanghai. We did the afternoon exploration and host Jade was our guiding angel, taking us to wonderful, hidden places to eat where the locals were and the tourists were not. So much food: noodles, a tea specialist, mucho dumplings and time left over for the city’s calming gardens and local laneways. Highly recommended, just don’t plan on eating much for the rest of the day!
