With the assistance of the third generation of the Prodan family, you will explore the intriguing world of truffles and this exquisite ingredient, renowned as one of the most costly foods globally. Accompanied by truffle dogs, the adventure begins with a truffle hunt, gathering the necessary truffles to prepare a delectable truffle meal. Following a selection of truffle appetizers, the family ladies will demonstrate how to craft the finest traditional scrambled eggs with freshly unearthed truffles. You will witness the entire process, from ingredients to preparation, uncovering the secrets to creating this unforgettable dish. Every dish will feature truffles, including the salad!
You will experience the traditional truffle cuisine of Istria, made with the freshest ingredients, while learning about truffle history and enjoying stunning views of the old town of Buzet.
All meals can be customized to accommodate vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets, with prior notice.

Parking is free for all the guest coming with bikes, motorbikes, cars, vans or campers. After
leaving your vehicle at the parking spot, you can follow the sign for "Truffle hunting" and
the hosts will meet you in front of their family home.

Wonderful truffle hunting experience! - We have done this experience not once but TWICE because our first go around was absolutely wonderful. The Prodan Family is very passionate about providing people a genuine and authentic truffle hunting experience as well as making you feel as part of the family. The property is rich in vegetation providing for a unique tour into the woods where well trained dogs sniff out hidden truffle. This in itself is spectacular to see! The hunt is followed by an in depth discussion on everything truffle, accompanied by several plates of delicious foods all which contain the delicious taste of local truffle. We greatly recommend this tour as you will feel welcomed by the family and will gain new knowledge on the beautiful world of truffle! We will definitely be back for a third tour!

Excellent experience and learning about truffles - Excellent presentation to tour group about truffles and truffle hunting. The dogs were cute. The service and the food were quite excellent and we enjoyed the experience.

Highlight of our trip! - Highlight of our trip in Croatia. Mirko and Visnja were wonderful hosts for the experience along with the dogs and the amazing food. Also the view from their farm to the Old town of Buzet was beautiful as well. Not sure about other tours but a plus for us, because of the rain, was they provided rain boots and ponchos for walking through the forest while hunting. A+ experience.

Truffle science at the highest culinary level - We were warmly welcomed by the family, introduced to truffle science and then we started with Sky, the youngest of the truffle dog hunting team. And indeed, Sky also sniffed 2 beautiful truffle tubers. Afterwards there was an excellent menu of truffles in virtually all preparations accompanied by expert additions and explanations. This visit is highly recommended and repeatable. That's great.

Delightful truffle morning in beautiful Buzet - Prodan Tartufi ... the perfect truffle experience. Family-run on their own farm, this opportunity to learn more about the world of truffles, take a wander in the woods for some hands-on truffle hunting with the gorgeous, clever dogs, then savour a delicious home-cooked truffle feast in the airy dining area (with bonus view of hilltop Buzet and surrounding countryside) was so much fun (and felt genuinely authentic). We loved it. Springtime in Croatia's countryside is superb - a great time of year to be there for black truffles too. Thanks Visnja and Mirko ... wishing you every success.

Loved Truffle hunting with this family❤️ - What an unexpected surprise! The operation is family operated so very inviting. They provide everything that you will need to participate. The whole experience was truly magical. I could go back again if I were local. The pups were amazing. The information shared was very interesting. The cooking details were new and the food provided was wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend this trip for all ages.

Terrific Truffling - We spent a morning at this family owned, well run truffle farm. Comprehensive information, delicious food, delightful host in a magical setting….what more could you ask for. Ps puppies were joyous and entertaining

Truffle found "The way is the goal" - Hi in the round, were today close Buzet at #family Prodan for #truffle-hunting. A unique experience to go with the dogs together on truffle find, and actually we have been hunting black truffle, so Sky the dog has found in with his mastering for us.
Only with a lot of discipline & love for work is it possible for the "Prodan's" to plough these "True Black and White Wonders" out of Mother Earth.
It gave us a lot of pleasure to experience the "family business" in full action, whether hunting & the great handling of the dogs or later tasting the lovingly prepared truffle food.
Keep it up, "i am falling in love with truffles"
Afterwards we were able to choose from the numerous products around the truffle. Be sure to try the white chocolate with pistachios and white spring truffle.
