Horta - The recommended itinerary is the standard for this tour. However, adjustments may occur (in the duration of visits and the places to visit), depending on the season and weather conditions. If any changes are necessary, alternative sites such as natural volcanic pools and forest parks will be offered.
Our aim is to ensure the best possible experience! - Miradouro de Nossa Senhora da Conceicao - From the Monument of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, visitors can view the historic center of the city and Horta bay on one side, and Praia do Almoxarife on the other. Additionally, Pico Island and Portugal’s highest point, Pico Mountain, are visible. On clear days, São Jorge and Graciosa islands can also be seen. This location offers an exceptional view!
- Flamengos - On the way to Caldeira do Faial, the route offers excellent views of the entire parish of Flamengos. This is the only parish on the island not surrounded by the sea, encircled instead by mountains and volcanoes.
- Caldeira - Situated in the island’s center, Caldeira is the true highlight of Faial. It is a vast crater of an extinct volcano that formed the island, measuring about 2000 meters in diameter, 400 meters deep, and seven kilometers in circumference.
- Praia do Almoxarife - Visit one of the island’s most beautiful beaches with views of Pico, S. Jorge, and Graciosa islands. This is the largest volcanic sand beach in Faial and one of the largest in the Azores.
- Miradouro Ponta Furada - A coastal spot of remarkable beauty where the interaction of basalt with the sea can be observed. Various caves and geological formations here are sure to delight.
- Porto do Comprido - Explore the Natural Pools of Porto do Comprido, formed by basaltic rocks from the solidification of incandescent lava in the sea.
- Capelinhos - A site of extraordinary volcanic beauty, it is one of the Atlantic’s major tourist attractions, especially in the Azores. The landscape resembles a lunar environment, showcasing the contrast between the gray sands, green mountains, and the blue sky and sea.

- In the summer, there is the possibility of taking a dive at Almoxarife Beach! Don’t forget to bring bathing suit and a towel. There’s a place to swap on the beach. There is only one rule: you have to be dry before you go back to the cart.
- For reservations without lunch included, the tour includes a stop at a local restaurant for about 1 hour. Lunch is optional. Those who choose not to have lunch should wait during this period. If the whole group prefers not to stop for lunch, the tour will continue and can end about 1 hour earlier.
