Walking tour the best part. Thanks Brigitte - Really worthwhile doing at the beginning of your stay in Vienna as it may inspire your choice of activities thereafter. I highly recommend the WALKING TOUR aspect. 90 minutes or so in length and the best part of the entire experience. We had a wonderful guide called BRIGITTE. She was fantastic 👏

Hop on/off enjoy 24hrs. - Great way to see what is worth visiting and to orientate yourself. Two routes available. Blue and Red. Also had the Danube canal cruise and the English speaking "Walking tour" with Max, which was not offered when purchasing a bus ticket on the day.

Interesting, comfortable trip. - Interesting historical facts to learn on 2 wide-ranging routes across the city. Many hop-on, hop-off stops. Great view on climate-controlled buses.

Good way to get an overview of Vienna - Good way to get a look around Vienna. Although hard to get your bearings as it seems to have to take so many twists and turns to get around the. Can wait while 20-30 minutes between buses bit frustrating in one just drove off.

Good your but note there are 2 different tours at different bus stops - Always enjoy the hop on/off yours. Only reason for 4 not 5 stars was that person that gave us tickets didn't say there were 2 totally different buses! Found out when on wrong bus it wouldn't take us to where we had tickets. Needed to find closest stop to other bus, walk a few blocks, then get on correct bus.

Hop On Hop Off Big Bus Vienna - Excellent value! Highlight was definitely the walking tour with a local guide. Claudia was fabulous. A nearly two hour tour of city center buildings, museums, sites that included excellent insight about Austria’s history. The Danube River cruise was nice, but nothing special. Although the boat had plenty of seating with very reasonable prices for food and beverages. The narration on the buses was quite good. The roof on the second level is very low. Need to duck if you are six foot tall. Biggest frustration was late afternoon on day 2. Lots of traffic which means long periods between stops.

Big Bus App is super, avoid the boat trip - We went on the boat ride first. We followed the instructions of how to get to the ticket office, but the person working had no idea what to do and sent us to the dock. We were very lucky to find a kind member of staff who called their admin team agreed we could have a ticket based on the booking details we had. The boat ride consists of looking at mainly residential buildings, lots of detailed graffiti to look at, if you like that! The ride is smooth but not really my thing. The next day we went on both bus routes and learned a lot. Make sure you download the Big Bus App so you can track the buses, locate the bus stops and see what they look like. It also gives you detail of each stop and what is there! Really good App! The second bus we went on had a perspex roof that you couldn't see through, so that hampered what we could see!

Terrible experience that will stay with me for years - Bought a 48 hr package because I wanted the Danube cruise. Nobody explained there was no cruise on the Danube in winter although this is how they present their package! Left me on Pier 3 with no information! It was wet, windy and cold (6degrees C) and it was getting dark! I will never forget that experience! I had to find my way back to the city, on my own expense. I would not recommend this company . They don't know what they are doing, the communication is zero (getting any kind of information from their drivers is like pulling teeth). I discussed with their sales staff twice and they couldn't be bothered to explain that their Danube River cruise was not actually a river cruise in winter but a small graffitti canal cruise ( who wants that?); also they could not explain how & where exactly you are required to exchange your tickets for their cruise.
