Whale of a Time - Saw a few humpback whales and seals. Awesome experience and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE local guide who shared lots of inside information about living in AK!

Perfect whale watching tour! - Had an amazing experience with Hoonah Whale Watching tour! From the start very professionally handled. Pickup from excursion spot near visitors center was easy. Shuttle drivers to boat about a mile away pointed out eagles nest along the way! Answering all questions you could think of. Boat was medium size with seating inside. There was room outside in the front and back. Saw whales and sea lions. Even a grizzly foraging on a nearby beach. Captain tried to keep respectful distance as required from whales but a few came very close on their own. Captain was very knowledgeable and shared tons of great information as we watched whales spouting. We saw many humpbacks and whale tails! If I ever get the chance to go back I would not hesitate to book with them again!

Whales !! - Captain Paul had a wealth of knowledge and we saw an abundance of whales, some were very close to the boat. Did not have to motor very far before whales were sighted. Definitely worth the time and money, would do it again.

Trip of a lifetime! - What a great whale watching experience!!! Captain Paul was very knowledgeable and stopped at nothing to make sure we had a great experience. Small boat so you can see plenty and not too crowded. We saw humpbacks and orcas up close and sea lions. Don’t hesitate to book!

WOW!!!! - We saw SO MANY WHALES!!!! We had a few that came right up to our boat that we got amazing pics and videos of. The staff from beginning to end was stellar. They were all very kind and customer service oriented. The captain was very cognizant of our area and the whales and being respectful of their space. We could not have asked for a better day or staff.

Loved experience ❤️ - Great experience! With the directions given, it was very easy to find the pick up point. Paul is extremely knowledgeable with all things Hoonah and the bay. Saw multiple whales and absolutely loved the tour! ❤️

Tails, fins, and barbs - Excellent tour! We saw many whales and got majestic pictures. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and provided very colorful political commentary. Don’t hesitate! These are the best tours in Hoonah.

Up Close with the Whales - My mother and I took the tour as a last minute excursion from our cruise and had an amazing time. We saw so much wildlife and were able to see the pod of whales from so close and were even able to hear them.

Worth every penny - Did this August 2022 but forgot to post a review. The date selection will not permit selecting Aug 2022. This was wonderful with a local who knows and shared a lot of history. Saw a number of whales and the boat captain has communication with other boats in the water to make sure you go to where the whales are. Highly recommend.

Scenic pleasure trip - Set in small town, family run business. Our captain was very knowledgeable. Taken out on smallish vessel, ( about 15 people) not too much space to get outside. Relatively expensive compared to some other trips. Used radio to find other sightings of whales from boats, had good results.
