Each participant receives their own rod & reel and wading gear, and is then expertly guided to experience the Alaskan wilderness like never before. After a scenic drive and a brief hike, you’ll reach the salmon spawning grounds.
As with all things in Alaska’s wild, fish runs are natural and seasonal. Dolly Varden Char and Cutthroat Trout are available throughout the summer. Pink and Chum Salmon run from late June to September, and Silver Salmon from late August to October.
The island boasts the highest density of brown bears in the world. While bear sightings can’t be guaranteed, close encounters with brown bears are common. Rest assured, your guide has extensive experience living alongside the island’s wildlife, and guest safety is our top priority.
