- Wan Chai - At 10:00 a.m., the friendly foodie guide will meet guests at their hotel and travel together via MTR to Wan Chai MTR station.
The tour begins with a delicious brunch at a local “Hong Kong style café” (Cha Chang Teng), featuring iconic drinks like milk tea or mixed milk tea and coffee, Hong Kong-style French toast, pineapple bun with fresh butter, breakfast sandwiches, and other morning specialties.
- Wan Chai Market - Between tastings, there will be a stop at an iconic wet market that offers a nostalgic experience. Wet markets are traditional venues selling poultry, live fish, and fresh meat, requiring frequent “floor washing,” hence the name “wet market.” These markets are typically wet, aromatic, and bustling, but they offer the freshest food at the most affordable prices.
- Wan Chai - The tour includes stops at three family-run food stalls featuring Hong Kong’s classic dishes, which may include samples of roast pork belly or barbecue pork.
- Hong Kong House of Stories - Along the way, there will be a visit to the “Blue House,” originally the site of the first hospital in the 1870s, acquired by the government in the 1970s, and painted blue, thus named the “Blue House.” During the 1960s-1970s, Kung Fu Master Wong Fei Hung’s student, Lam Sai Wing, opened a Kung Fu Studio at Blue House with his nephew. The building also houses the “Hong Kong House of Stories,” open to visitors.
- Pak Tai Temple - Towards the end of the tour, there will be a stop at Pak Tai Temple, a Taoist temple built in 1863, the largest of its kind in the city. It consists of three halls, with the main hall housing a three-meter-tall copper image of Pak Tai, flanked by images of Lung Mo (Dragon Mother). The temple is listed as a “grade 1 historical building” by the Antiques Advisory Committee for permanent preservation.
- Wan Chai - The Old Wan Chai Post Office is the oldest surviving post office building in Hong Kong. Constructed between 1912 and 1913, it opened on 1 March 1915 as the Wan Chai Post Office. The building is now operated by the Environmental Protection Department as an Environmental Resource Centre.
- Wan Chai - Tenement House consists of three pre-war residential blocks. They are now a Grade III historical building and have been preserved for wedding-related shops.
- Lee Tung Avenue - Known as Wedding Card Street by locals, Lee Tung Street was renowned in Hong Kong and abroad as a center for publishing and manufacturing wedding cards and similar items. All interests in this street were resumed by and reverted to the Government of Hong Kong on 1 November 2005. Lee Tung Street was demolished in December 2007 as part of an Urban Renewal Authority (URA) project.
- The Pawn - This four-storey Wan Chai building was once the famous Woo Cheong Pawn Shop. Now a landmark in Wan Chai, it offers both exhibitions and entertainment. While preserving many of its original features, the building has been transformed into a stylish and trendy bar and restaurant.
- Wan Chai - Food tasting includes mini egg puffs and egg tarts from a local bakery.
