Our guide, Son, was a fountain of knowledge, sharing stories and insights that brought the history of Vietnam to life. His passion for his country was infectious, and I found myself hanging on his every word.

The day concluded with a sampan boat ride along the Tam Coc river, often referred to as “Halong Bay on land.” As we glided gently along the water, guided by local rowers, I was mesmerized by the stunning karst landscapes and the tranquility of the surroundings. It was a fitting end to a day filled with discovery and wonder.
