Old Quarter - At approximately 7:45am - 8:00am, a tour guide and vehicle will pick guests up from their hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, departing for Ninh Binh. A short break will be taken along the way to stretch.
Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - Upon arrival in Ninh Binh around 11:00am, visitors will explore temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang (923-979) and Le Dai Hanh (941-1005). The tour guide will provide an introduction to Vietnam’s 10th-century history.
Ninh Binh Mountain Side Homestay & Cafe - At 12:00, the journey continues to Tam Coc for lunch. Along the way, there will be opportunities to capture photos of the picturesque villages and landscapes.
Tam Coc - At 13:30, guests will board sampans to explore Tam Coc (Three Caves). The boat trip through the towering limestone karsts rising from the lush rice fields creates lasting memories. Around 15:30, enjoy a leisurely bike ride on country roads around the village, offering a memorable experience.
Mua Caves - Arrive at Mua Cave and embark on an exhilarating hike to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain (Lying Dragon Mountain) to admire the breathtaking rice valley and natural vistas. The cave, known as the ‘Cave of Dance,’ may not be overly impressive, but the panoramic views from the summit are stunning. A stone staircase beside the cave entrance zigzags through the karst (watch out for goat droppings) and leads to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy) after nearly 500 steps. Look west to see the Ngo Dong River winding through Tam Coc. Guests will then travel to Tam Coc for check-in at a bungalow or hotel.
Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong - Galaxy Cave - Hanoi (B/L)
Cúc Phương NP Reception (Phòng bán vé) - At 8:30, after breakfast, guests will check out of their hotel and transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and largest national park. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including 97 species of mammals, notably the endangered langurs; 300 species of birds; 36 reptilian species; 17 species of amphibians; 11 species of fish; 2,000 species of vascular plants, and thousands of insect species, most of which are non-biting. Several species in the park are listed in Vietnam’s Red Book of endangered species.
Endangered Primate Rescue Centre - Visitors will have the opportunity to see langurs, monkeys, and gibbons at the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, observing them in their natural habitat. Professional staff work to protect monkeys and langurs from extinction, maintaining an environment that closely resembles their natural surroundings. Primates in the park include macaques, gibbons, Francois’ leaf monkeys, and slow lorises. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in the center of Cuc Phuong National Park.
Thousand Year Old Tree - This ancient tree, standing around 45 meters tall, has a diameter four times that of the Dang ancient tree. It takes at least 20 adults with outstretched arms to fully encircle the trunk. A 3 km trek leads to this remarkable natural wonder.
Động Người Xưa - The Cave of Prehistoric Man is a significant archaeological site, showcasing the residential relics of prehistoric humans, a valuable heritage of Cuc Phuong National Park. It is a 300-meter walk from the main road, followed by a climb of about fifty steps up stone stairs to reach the cave entrance.
Động Thiên Hà - After visiting Cuc Phuong, the tour proceeds to Galaxy Cave (Động Thiên Hà) for an enchanting experience. From Muong Tho Ha village, Son Ha commune, guests will travel along a small canal approximately 1km long in the Ben Dang river system, then continue on a 500m stone path near the base of Tuong Mountain to reach the Galaxy Cave entrance. Visitors will be captivated by the mesmerizing world of stalactites. A boat ride through the winding Galaxy reveals layers of shimmering stalactites, the Fairy Island, Mother Milk, and Fish transforming into Dragon, immersing guests in a fairy-tale realm with paradise-like scenery. The Galaxy Cave remains largely untouched, home to thousands of bats. Archaeologists have discovered traces of ancient Vietnamese, including mollusk shells, raw pottery fragments, animal bones, and tortoise shells.
Old Quarter - At 16:00, guests will return to the vehicle for the journey back to Hanoi. After a 2.5-hour drive, they will arrive in Hanoi, with drop-off at their hotel around 18:00, marking the end of the trip.
