Jade sails . - If you are looking for comfort which we were and only have a day then it’s a great option . The boat itself is very comfortable . The food was decent and plentiful . I was sad to have missed out on the names of some of the small islands but this was probably because my fiancé was I’ll so I didn’t attend and was on a different floor to where the information was given . There were just two things that annoyed me about this trip . 1 They say don’t bring plastic bottles of water , with good reason they don’t want anyone throwing them in the water, but they do not provide a constantly available self service water onboard instead you need to buy your drinks , even at dinner! They provided a small welcome on board drink and a small vodka at the end so you need to pay around £2.50 for a ginger tea and around £4 for a supposed orange juice which was not big . Doesn’t sound like much but you can buy your entire dinner in Vietnam for £2 lol. They did have a 241 happy hour towards the end of the cruise , but I think instead of saying don’t bring plastic bottles of water ( as this is what is available to the average tourist ) they should emphasise the need to not have water bottles thrown in the water , perhaps put a fine in place . 2 There is WiFi aboard however when I thought about using it I would have had to leave my comfy lounger to go looking for the guide , the password should be readily noticeable at the tables and it should be announced on arrival . So it’s comfortable the transfer also good , the seating and loungers and excursions were all great, the guide was friendly , although I did feel he was searching for tips at the end, and when I pay to go in a boat tour I feel the tour guide and boat are included especially as this is the priciest tour at over £260 for 3 people . Other tours being around 45 dollars pp so nearly twice the price . For the same ish tour in a much nicer boat basically . What’s great - you can hardly tell the boat is moving not lightly to get sea sick It’s very comfortable The food was good and I have 2 very fussy eaters . Do bring tips for the fishermen who row you on the first excursion We tipped him and our cab driver a little . If you want to tip the guide go ahead he was friendly etc great can’t fault him just I thought that’s what I was paying for! Boat, guide . That’s a tour no ? Ok well at that price it is to me . Up to you . Was it worth it , depends on if comfort is a thing for you. It is for us and the crowd onboard we’re great too . If I was young I’d probably save my money and go on a cheap tour , saying that a lot of the cruise liners looked pretty cool . The jade sails one looked the coolest of course and again is probably the most expensive , if you’ve got the money and time a few nights might be lovely , there were a lot of other cruise boats that also looked doable for a few nights . This boat is known as the most comfortable one that does a day trip . It’s highly rated cause it is just us that ….
