Output - The exit was superb, Harry was too kind and helpful to listen to my request. I highly recommend this agency and the activities were diverse we started with the trip to the temple then a bike ride and then the boat ride and we finished with climb to see the sunset

Great experience with Harry - Harry was very helpful, explained a bit about the history of the places we visited and gave us directions on what there was to see in the places he didn't go in. He picked us up at the hotel to go to the bus.

Very disappointed with what should have been a good day. - Well, where to start? The day started OK, we were met at our hotel by a taxi who took us to join the coach. It was a nice coach, comfortable seats and air con. We were given a bottle of water each and picked a few other people up as we left Hanoi. It was unfortunately a very overcast day with intermittent drizzle, which was not great for seeing the sights. However, that was the least of our problems. If you get a tour guide called Ryan, you might as well not bother going! He was awful! I rarely write bad reviews but I really must warn others as he is by far the worse tour guide I've ever encountered, and I've done many tours over the years. He barely communicated anything from not even telling us his name to not letting us know where we were going, how long we would be there, where to meet up or indeed any useful information. He lost us on the cycle ride because he just disappeared and around 9 or 10 of us were left cycling around completely lost for an hour or so, saved only by one of the group having his number saved on their phone. When we finally got back to the group there was no apology or explanation for what happened. In fact, he barely spoke to most of us at any point in the tour. If I sound like I'm on a rant, I guess I am frustrated by the loss of this day as I had been really looking forward to it. In talking to others afterwards who had been on similar trips, it seems we missed out on a rare treat! We did go to the temples, although we mostly stood and watched a dance/ceremony going on without any idea what we were watching whilst Ryan had a smoke. He had spoken to us on the way to the temple but we could not hear properly as he tended to just speak to the nearest people to him, not the whole group, which was not ideal. The lunch was good, a decent variety of food on offer, but again, it would have been nice to have been told how much time we had, as we all rushed through our meals to discover that we could have been more relaxed about it. The trip down the river in the boat is fantastic. Very tranquil and beautiful. A welcome break in a tedious day. To cap it all off, the last stop was to a place where you could climb to the top of a steep lookout point. As I have bad knees I said that I would not be able to do that so would not need the ticket to enter the site, was there anything else to do... He just said nothing and walked off. My daughter and I then had time to spare, so walked along the road towards where everyone was headed, only to discover that there was a huge area that we could have entered to take photos and find out about the area and people who live there, but we needed the ticket and obviously at that point Ryan had disappeared again! It was not just me who had declined to climb on the grounds that my knees were bad, there were other similarly disappointed travellers as well. All in all, it was a wasted day, because of the cycle detour, we were late returning, getting back to Hanoi around 8.45pm and were dropped in town to make our own way home. From reading other reviews, I'm sure that this is a fantastic tour with a decent guide, so I don't want to put anyone off. Just beware of who is taking you...
